Six Year Old Loves this series
My six-year-old grandnephew is a Star Wars' buff, and he loves the DK Readers. With him, the reading level doesn't matter much because the grown-ups help him read whatever is too difficult for him. Therefore, he has gobbled up the Star Wars DK books from levels one through four, and with each shipment I send him other unrelated subjects that include witches and dragons, guinea pigs, children's anatomy, sailing dogs, Walter the Farting Dog, The Giving Tree, and the list goes on. I'm happy to say that he's reading on a third grade level and once said to me, "Send me more." I'm happy to fulfill his wish because the best time to learn is when they're interested.

All about Jedi knights
This is great for encouraging reluctant readers, who cant otherwise find anything that motivates them. The books are smaller than the average book size, but more child friendly, as the package doesnt look like too many words to read. Illustrated on every page with stills from the Clone Wars animated series, to encourage more page turning. Written in the style of an information book. It suits fact hungry kids. Ideal for Star Wars obsessed boys to share at bedtime, (just the right length to read for us - not too long and not to short). In general a simple text, but some longer "Star Wars" vocabulary (although alot of the long names etc are known to our Star Wars fan anyway). This Level 3 would suit an average to above average young Star Wars reader of about 6 years to have a go at themselves. Our ASD boy aged 6 likes us to read the story to him and he talks about the bits that interest him most. It gives interesting information about Jedi in the order, a bit of a who's who. Very educational for us parents who don't know the in's and out's of the Jedi order. The level 3 books are good value I feel, as they actually have quite alot in them. Use the force young Padawan!

doesnt work on windows 8!!!!
Why amazon don't you tell people that this title doesn't work on Surface devices BEFORE they buy and download!!! Take the money but don't deliver anything. What an excellent business model.

Christina's Regal Review
I bought these books for my son who is 8 years old. He loves all the Star Wars stuff. The stories are great. Some of the names of planets and people can be hard for kids to read, but if they've seen the movies, then they will whiz thru it faster than any adult can. I purchased 5 of these DK books, read them all several times over. Now my son doesn't need me to help him read the story.

Super fun
A super fun book for appropriate age group. If kids don’t really know Star Wars this book gives a simple explanation of what is happening in the prequel era. My kiddo really liked it
