"As long as it is harmless, hacking is fun."
I've recently been hacked in my facebook account by my boyfriend. I don't see it as a crime since it is just facebook and not my bank account and he did it to satisfy his curiosity about the matter. I'm kind of mad though but intrigued by the though of hacking. He told me he used simple books such as this specifically with the same author's name on it. I gave it a shot and read a page or two. The introduction to this book is really on point and quite persuading, I mean I was a bit hesitant but as quoted "as long as it is harmless, hacking is fun". I didn't know that a number of jobs can emerge from hacking. I literally thought it was something illegal at first especially if the ones you're hacking are sites and stuff but after reading this I learned that it's actually beneficial to have a hacker on stand by to enhance your security. I learned this thing called password cracking from this book and I've figured to keep it a note somewhere so if anything happens I'm ready to fix it up.Really well thought explanations especially the part where it differentiates hacking from cracking. Anyways, please do feel free to give this book a read it is worth it. You'll learn stuff that you didn't know of before it actually gets quite complicated after a few chapters which is why I stuck with the first few and fun chapters for me but maybe it'll be fun and exciting for you.

Amazing book!
This book is designed for people who know about the subject, it has technical vocabulary, some encodings and in general your understanding is complex. It is ideal for subject matter experts and for those wishing to expand their knowledge. I bought this book to learn about the world of hacking, a theme that is very important for everyone in this age. There are chapters such as Hacking Email Passwords and The Types of Malwares you can use to Hack a Computer. These are only some of the great chapters you will encounter in this book. Everything you ever wanted to know about hacking is right here in this book. This book is a quick and interesting read and I would recommend it.

Hacking ain't so bad!
I Initially bought this book because I was curious on who would make a book about hacking? I mean c'mon really? I've been hacked multiple times and think that the people who do that are the worst scum on the earth. I read and was surprised that hacking is actually a common hobby of computer enthusiasts like myself. The author talks about the ethical way of hacking and different forms. He gives exercises you can do to hack the right way and for the right reason. This is just not a book for nerds also. Being away of hackers allows you to prevent your information from getting hacked in the future. Recommend for any of you curious cats out there

A great investment and very educational!
From a beginner's perspective, there are plenty of books available on the market that all claim to offer an in-depth introduction to Hacking, but many books fail to lay a foundation of knowledge, starting from the basics concepts. The purpose of this book is teach the basic knowledge about preventing possible methods of hacking. I learned several important meaning.I'd recommend purchasing this book even if you don't think you need it right now. If you are looking to venture into the world of hacking, this book will teach you all the information you need to know.

Worst $10 Ever Spent
DO NOT BUY. I am not a bias reviewer or have anything against the author. I bought this book because I saw the many good reviews it had, and I don't pay attention to a few negative ones. However, this book has MANY typos. The author simply threw it together just to sell it. When researching some of the definitions in the book, the exact sources that he used came online. He simply copied and pasted word for word. Formatting is inconsistent as well. The BIGGEST issue is where he talks about "the Wifi Hacker" He tells you that it can help you hack wifi password but that's false. If you download the software he tells you to, it will give a VIRUS like It gave me on my computer. However, since I repair computers, it was easy for me to delete the virus and wipe my laptop clean. Basically, this book is a waste. The ONLY reason I didn't give this book 1 star is because it gives you alright information, tips, and definitions. Although its copy and pasted from online. It's okay for beginners but I recommend that you save your time and money. Wish I could get a refund

Experiment with hacking
When you hear hacking, you immediately tend to think of the negative connotation because that is what we typically hear about on TV or read about in the news papers. This book, however, tries to explain the concept of hacking and cracking and what the differences are. It explains that one can actually make a legitimate career out of hacking, and that it does not have to always be bad. It also encourages the reader that if they want to experiment with hacking to always keep it clean.

Hackers 101
This book was exactly what I was looking for my son.He studies these things and I take the audacity to read a little bit of this guide. Because I must admit the image of "hackers" is not very positive these days or at least for people of my age. But everything in this book teaches you skills very useful for programmers and technicians.I feel more relaxed about what my boy is reading and I am very happy because my son loved this guide.

Prevention better than Cure
Prevention is undoubtably better than Cure. I got this book simply because I want to keep my computer data from being hacked. This book definitely makes you think twice about downloading from questionable sites as this might lead to rendering your computer data useless. This book gives you an overview of what computer virus can do to create havoc in your file data. It lists all the kinds of malware software that can be harmful. It also gives you some tips on how to avoid being hacked like changing password regularly, checking the security of the sites viewed etc.A useful book for anyone who is using computers nowadays. One can never be too lenient on taking precautions in this wired world.

Great book shame about all the typos.
The book itself is great and very informative but the author really needs to fire his proof reader.

Terrible - This is a scam
This book is just a few pages of terminologies that can be found for free on the internet. Other than defining a few terms it does not teach anything. DO NOT WASTE YOUR Money even if it is $3. This book is not even worth downloading for free.
