## Overview

PC-Rot Terminator is a two-part epoxy wood hardener designed to penetrate and consolidate rotted or decayed wood. With a tensile strength of 4500 psi and a broad temperature tolerance (-20°F to 200°F), it provides durable, waterproof reinforcement for both indoor and outdoor wood surfaces. Its low viscosity allows deep grain penetration, while a 60-minute work time ensures thorough saturation. Once cured, it can be painted, stained, or primed, making it the ultimate solution for restoring and protecting wood from future damage.

## Description

Product Description PC-Rot Terminator is structural wood hardener designed to strengthen decayed or rotted wood. The mixture is a low viscosity liquid that penetrates porous surfaces filling and sealing voids with an epoxy that cures to a hard but durable component. PC-Rot Terminator is useful for replacement of missing wood fibers or wood resin. PC-Rot Terminator fills the voids in the wood with an elastomer that has strength greater than wood. PC-Rot Terminator acts as a binder that glues the wood fibers together. The wood fibers become much stronger in combination with the epoxy elastomer. PC-Rot Terminator contains 100 percent active ingredients and does not contain solvents which may evaporate and cause shrinkage. The cure rate in the thicker sections is faster than in the thin sections. The greater the temperature, the faster the cure time. PC-Rot Terminator cure can be accelerated using a light bulb or other gentle heat source. The cure rate is halved for every 20 degree F increase. After cure (roughly 24 hours) fill in missing pieces with PC Woody paste epoxy. One unit of 24 ounces will seal 50 to 100 square feet of deck as a sealer. For severely rotted wood, one unit will treat 500 to 2500 cubic inches. The amount of usage depends on the porosity of wood. Damp wood that is heavy with water will not accept the maximum amount of the mixture. PC-Rot Terminator can not displace water in wood. Work time: 60 minutes. Thin film set: 12 Hours. Cure for service: 24 Hours. Maximum cure: 7 Day. Compressive modulus: 230000 psi. Compressive yield strength: 6500 psi. Tensile strength: 4500 psi. Tensile modulus: 210000 psi. **Q: Thanks, will the repair of the rotted sill in the shower (when primed and painted) withstand continue water from the shower rather than decomposing?**
A: The epoxy is more durable to the elements than wood, so I imagine yes, especially when primed and painted.  I used it on trim that was rotting on the exterior of the door on our home and it is holding up well.

**Q: Has anyone ever tried this on camper walls?**
A: We haven't used it on camper walls, just some 130 year old windows in an old building. The two part wood gardener works awesome. Give a bit longer to dry in hot damp climates . the epoxy filler is fantastic we used it of 6 window sashes and have 48 more to go. Start of with a small test piece of wood so you can see how it works. Kind of like thick peanut butter. As you are using it make sure you keep stirring what's mixed before its applied. As it sits still it states to set up.

**Q: I have some rotten wood on the bottom of my entry door.  Do I need all these items to repair it or can I just purchase exterior wood filler?**
A: I used it to repair my door and frame but did not have enough in the kit to fill in all I needed.  I some some JB weld wood and finished the job.

**Q: What are the sizes (in ounces) of each of the four pictured containers?**
A: We no longer have the kit ..... the cans are small because it kind of like a sample or starter kit ..... the materials did go a long ways, was very easy to use and finish ..... have another similar project coming up and will buy this kit again ..... very pleased!

This is a very good product if you use it intelligently. Do make infiltration holes into the compromised wood. Do use heat on the substrate to increase penetration: heat gun or heat lamp. I would make 2 suggestions to improve the product. Provide also a smaller mixing bottle to use for smaller repairs. Also, give a more accurate indication of hardening time for product. It is of course dependent on temperature and what quantity is left mixed together in the pot for how long. You could create a table at least for temperature. The product was much slower at hardening than I expected. I had to use a heat lamp to have it fully hardened for further work 24 hours later, even in late summer in the mid-Atlantic states in a warm garage.
