Rainbow Loom Official 2.0 Kit with Metal Hook Too

My 5 year old daughter had started making these little bracelets at school using her fingers, so I have decided to buy her this loom and one for her 7 year old brother in case he wanted to try. I must admit I didn’t realise what a success this would be!! A week later both kids are still looming every day. We have only mastered two basic designs, but looks like there is so much more you can do if you rearrange the looms and join them together. I don’t need to worry about it just yet as they don’t seem to get bored of making their little bracelets in various colour patterns.The actual loom is sturdy and well made. Instructions are fairly straight forward. Everything you need to start looming is in the box including a large number of rubber bands. It may not look like much as it’s just a small bag, but there are lots in there and after a week it doesn’t look like we will run out any time soon. I was very happy with the value for money and would recommend this to anyone with kids aged 5 and up. The interesting bit for me is that my 7 year old son seems to be enjoying this more than my daughter!

I bought this set to go with a multi pack of loom bands that claimed to have everything required in it. I’m so glad I bought this rainbow set, the hook and loom in my opinion is essential to making a variety of designs. The hook and looms that came with the other set I got were so flimsy and basic. Although the bands that came with this rainbow set were small in quantity the quality of them was good, but I wouldn’t buy for the bands, it’s the loom and hook that are the star of this set!

I've had several looms in the past, both with pins and with solid bases. The ones with the pins broke or were unstable and did not stay in place/attached the plastic bases and the solid bases were always very limiting. The Official Loom was always too expensive for me to buy (particularly when you factor in shipping) but I bought this loom when it was £2.99 an item and I have to say I should have bought an official one sooner, as they are more than worth the price I paid and are worth the original price tag.I bought 2 looms (separately, not bundled - and fullfilled by Amazon with Prime) and both are genuine products as verified by the 'secret code' and the Rainbow Loom official website. They include everything the description states and I'm very very impressed with the quality. Even the quality of the paper stock used for the instruction manual is high.I suggest buying from the Amazon fulfilled option, and checking the price a few days in a row to see any changes, as the price seems to fluctuate ( I bought these early on 23/02/15 and I have recieved them on 24/02/15 and the price per loom has changed by £2.)

After buying cheaper versions which broke, I decided to splash out and get the official loom. So glad I did as it's been brilliant and so worth the extra money. It comes with 600 bands which have no seam and do not split and break when stretched. It also comes with a metal hook which is far superior than a plastic one.There are no sharp edges as in the cheaper version and we have avoided cutting ourselves. Ordered another 2 so we can complete bigger projects.The code you get with it allows you to become free members of rainbow loom and there you will find free instruction videos which a 5 year old child upwards will follow easily. They start from beginner to advance and we both worked our way through them with ease. You also get a chance to enter completions and a new bracelet is produced once a month.We have had ours for 2 weeks and it's been used every day and NO TV which has been brilliant for family time, even dad has been involved.I would defiantly recommend this one above all others.

obviously the best loom available out there without a doubt.however, when i received my package i wasnt sure about the quality of the bands compared with others, as the sizes were all different... and to top it all off the secret code wasn't recognised when i tried to register on the rainbow loom website.i was so sure i got a counterfeit product until i got a response from rainbow loom customer services, who gave me a new code to register,... some system glitch apparently.ayway not sure why the bands were inconsistent, maybe something with the batch.nevertheless im happy with the loom and hook, perfect quality and comfort to use. my daughter has previously owned the cra-z-loom, and she's not going to touch it again, as she just loves the rainbow loom.

I had previously posted that this wasn't the real thing, I take it back as although the code didn't work I have since bought a monster tail loom from the Official company in the US and that code didn't work either ! I contacted them and they said there was some trouble with the codes.Since then three of my friends have bought looms from W H Smith and their codes didn't work and Rainbow Loom seem not bothered and are doing nothing about it and have poor communications. Thank you to all the customers who left reviews on here that their codes work as by that I know that the seller is selling the real thing and the problem lies with Rainbow Loom.I now feel relieved that my daughter is playing with a safe ,lead and phthalates free product .

Good loom and hook but bands felt a little dry

This loom is great. The delivery was great and came the very next day as I requested. I was very impressed that this wasn't fake too. I have heard of many people buying stuff like this online before and it being fake. This was my first time ordering stuff of amazon so I was very afraid that to my child's disappointment that it would be fake. Also the loom bands that the loom came with are very durable. My kids and I have made 10 bracelets with not one loom band braking even with a lot of tension. Finally I was very impressed that the hook was metal after the incident of plastic ones snapping and causing many injuries. I was very scared whenever my child used metal hooks incase they snapped so from now on they use this metal hook all the time even on the monster tail loom. Overall I am really pleased with this product and highly reccomend buying for a kid of any age or any gender.
