Love the price for the gallon
We inherited an orange walled house even the previous owner did not like yet did nothing about it in 2 decades. Since we were on a budget on how many thousands of USD we will spend I decided to paint everything myself using this Kilz 2 later 3, seeing no much difference between them 2:1. Some walls were OK after 5, 6 coats, some needed less - all the items, excluding the brushes (from Dollar tree) were purchased here. Search for the extending up to 8 feet brush holder - that was another good find here at around 20 USD2. None of the walls could be scratched after applying this, yet I am sure that our walls could be different than other people's walls3. I even used it on the window wood trims and did an excellent job. Later on I decided to buy something more expensive for some doors as the previous owner painted some badly in white and the other side of the door was wood mimicking!!!!! Some strange people out there blaming it on their medical problems as if our DNA is perfect!!!!4. Price: I purchased this at a very low price under 30 USD/gallon as it was at that moment in time, for 5 gallons the price was even better, so you might want to think about this once you buy a gallon and think this is the best paint for you.5. The 14 inches long used rolls (also purchased here) you cannot but throw away at the end of the day, however the wide paint tray (purchased here too) was covered in large plastic bags, hence looking brand new even when finishing painting the house. You can peel off this paint off the plastic bag, off the floors etc - I like that. The empty gallon paint containers can be peeled too inside and outside and I used them as pots for the trees I have created out of the branches I found in our garden, saving hundreds of dollars as similar trees cost here - I put them to cover our very tall walls, near paints etc as I am a big fan of 'dead art' or right near our beautiful tall plants. Some trees were simply painted in white, also with this paint, some covered in autumn fabric leaves (purchased here at great value for money) or pearl stems (yes, also purchased here at great value for money and taped with white tape, also purchased here. Aren't I full of ideas? And yes, I would buy it again in the future for some white walls.

worked well over my wall paper gyp in my mobile home.
I got this to prime my vinyl covered mobile home wall panels. If you live in one you know what I mean. It applied vey well and dried quickly. I used 2 coats and then used a paint and primer combo over it. I am lazy so I liked how this worked out. So far it is still on the walls 4 months or so later.

Time saver for all your painting projects (say goodbye to sanding)!
I ordered this item twice. The first time I brought it upstairs to my room (I was painting my bathroom cabinets) and I set the unopened box on the floor. My dog knocked it over while playing catch and the ENTIRE BUCKET SPILLED all over my CARPET. Luckily I was planning on installing hardwood floors soon so I was more upset about not being able to start my project that day because there was nothing left! Amazon replaced my paint in 3 days. (See first pic).*Tip: even though the lid has those metal clips to hold it shut, it can still open! Be very careful when you handle the paint for the first time!I’ve refinished cabinets before and I HATE painting (mostly because I hate the time and effort it takes to prep the surface). Sanding to remove any finish/wiping down, making sure there’s no dust particles left on the surface, etc. So I was researching how I could refinish my cabinets without spending too much time while also making sure the finish is durable and doesn’t chip. I read all the reviews on this product and decided to give it a go.I still cleaned my surface with a degreaser, but I didn’t do any sanding. The layers go on very very thin. You prob only need about 2 thin coats and that’s it. This isn’t the type of primer that will help with paint coverage, it’s supposed to help with adhesion. After I let it dry (I let mine sit overnight), I did a few scratch tests and decided to move on with the paint (see pics).*Tip: make sure you really shake/mix the primer really really well. I did notice that when I used it for another project and didn’t shake it well, the adhesion wasn’t as strong and it would scratch off.I was really happy with my cabinets and a year later I haven’t had any chipping! For another project, I was helping my sister refinish her bathroom tile (she had a LOT of blue tile and ugly countertop to refinish). I read someone’s review saying they used it on tile so I decided to give it a go. I did try and scuff up the porcelain tile just a bit, then cleaned and dried the surface and put my first coat of primer really thin. It seemed pretty stuck on there with light scratching (I didn’t use a nail or anything). So then I continued my project with the tub & tile refinishing kit. (As seen in the pictures). It’s been two months and again, so far so good! I’ve been careful not to use any abrasive products on the tile or countertops and the epoxy did have more than 72 hours to cure (and I had a heater running during drying times because this was in the winter.I’m excited to try this stuff again on a crib using a sprayer. I do not look forward to having to sand down each and every slat, so I’m crossing my fingers that this also works well for that!If you’ve got a painting project ahead...save TIME and just try it out! You can thank me later ☺️

Great Bonding Primer!
Long time painter here, who is picky about her paints, and honestly I wasn't to sure about using Kilz for a bonding primer instead of 'bigger' brand. Bonding primers have big jobs. They have to rework the surface of what you're painting to be cleaner and allow for adhesion of the next paint layer. Don't hesitate to buy this if you have an iffy surface and want to skip/or are unable to prep.1. This loads like a dream onto a roller or brush. I've been painting ceilings (which were previously high-gloss) with this, and there was no drip onto the floor, or down my arm.2. It goes on well. Smooth as velvet and nice coverage from the first roll onto the last. It's thick, and one coat is all you'll need before you move on.3. Clean up is a snap. My brush washed out quickly. Everything came up with water.4. Dry time is super fast.Only con is the smell. But you can't expect a paint like this, a good, thick, and durable paint, to be low VOC. Keep your space ventilated and you'll be fine.
