Cheap and really easy fix for appliances with planned obsolescence. WORTH EVERY PENNY.
-My Danby Wine Cooler: DWC350BLP (mine has the old compressor configuration. As of this review it's still being sold in most places BUT with the new compressor configuration)-Old compressor configuration relay part number: p6r8mc or0809-Current compressor configuration relay part number: DBC PTC STARTER QP2-4.7G--DON'T BUY A NEW COOLER/FRIDGE--If you're reading this review, chances are you've seen youtube videos on how to fix your own wine cooler or mini fridge. This part is so easy to keep making but they make different configurations in order to say "sorry, they no longer make your replacement part". That's absolute nonsense. This relay is the answer to that, it's just configured in a different way. I looked up the make and model of my wine cooler and saw that the cooler was still being manufactured, it just used a different starter relay part. I searched for that specific part number and saw it used this specification of starter relay. Since there is an ohm rating, it's best to try and stay with the make and model. It's really nothing special but it's just a heads up.It didn't fit in the correct orientation, but since the old part was "discontinued" and the fridge I had was no longer under warranty it was worth a shot. All I did was swap the ceramic discs inside from the new relay enclosure and put it in the old relay enclosure like others have mentioned in the review section. THIS WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY FOR THE PART. EVERYTHING IN THIS REVIEW IS AT YOUR OWN RISK, but it's a $10 gamble worth trying considering the price of a new wine cooler or mini fridge. You don't even need to be that saavy to fix it either. Just have to have a small flathead screw driver to pop open the enclosure and small needle nose pliers so carefully pop out terminals which will help pop out the disc. DON'T USE THE PLIERS TO REMOVE THE DISC.Keep the orientation of the new relay in the proper way to ensure that the polarity matches (I had to turn the new one upside down since the plug was on the bottom left. The old enclosure had the plug on the bottom right. The new one didn't fit upside down on my cooler/fridge). Making sure the disc sides and the terminal plugs were facing the same way on both, I pulled the disc out of the new one, popped it into the old one, put the cover back then installed it on my cooler/fridge.NOTE: If you accidentally forget which side of the disc is left or right, line up the scratch marks on the disc with the terminals of the the new enclosure. The test was when I plugged in the fridge and the compressor started back up immediately and felt coldness inside. Make sure to empty the fridge first for at least a few hours to ensure you're not over working the compressor. The relay kicks in for a split second to start the motor of the compressor. When the inside of the fridge hits a certain temperature below what's specified by the manufacturer the compressor stops to prevent freezing. When that temperature starts to rise, the sensor send lots of electricity to the relay for that split second and the cycle continues. Yay for thermal dynamics and cold beer. This is a high quality replacement part for an incredible price. Chances are, the part will last longer that the rest of the fridge itself.

Great value.
Used this relay to rebuild the blown replay from my Danny mini freezer because that specific relay is not made anymore.Arrived in great time.Popped it open, took the disc out and swapped it with the blown relay parts.Worked like a charm and my freezer is functional again.Great price. Happy with purchase.

Cheap Repair
This combine with another small, inexpensive part fixed our wine cooler. Definitely worth a try. Watched a video and gained the knowledge, ordered the parts and have our wine fridge up and running.

It fix the issue with ease!
I have a small Danby refrigerator that stopped working a few weeks ago, I almost put it in the trash then decided to attempt fixing it. I am very glad that I did, it only cost me about $12.00 for the part, it was very easy to install and I can again keep my beverage cold. Recommended!

if your fridge ain’t cooling ...
first thing to check is this overload , even-if you don’t have a multimeter, so easy to remove ... shake it ... if it rattles , you have just found the problem ... why buy a new fridge .
