I bought this for a recent trip to Hawaii, hoping for some relief from the sun under a beautifully designed tent. This was so disappointing. The canopy was impossible to stay up in dry sand and wind. The stakes easily slid out of the sand, rendering the canopy into a flag. It must have been comical watching our attempts, and took three of us several tries setting up before giving up, on two occasions. Unusable!

We went on a beach vacation and knew we would need something to get us out of the sun. This tent/canopy thing was amazing. It fit in my luggage, and then in my backpack out and about for the day. We used it in all ways possible, even used as a blanket on the sand.
