No more unwanted creases
I've had this in my wish list for a while and finally purchased it. I haven't used mine yet but had used a friend's some years ago. They're a great addition to the sewing room, ironing routine and general crafting. Just be mindful that each side is used for different temperature settings. The one I received is well made and I look forward to using it for whatever creativity my mind comes up with.

Well it tastes terrible and smell a little like wet sawdust
Definitely wouldn't serve at Christmas dinner ever again even if my last name were Tailor. Worked better for pressing seams on sewing projects than it tasted. This is a replacement for the one that went up in flames in my horizontal smoker

Mildew smell...
I was already familiar with this particular tailor ham as a friend has one. I like the size and shape, and the materials are fine for me. I didn't experience any problem with the fabric melting or anything. I don't know what the deal is with this one, but it smelled like mildew right out of the package. I have stuffed it in a bag with some moisture absorber packs and hope that helps to pull the smell out. Since it is stuffed with sawdust, there isn't anything you can do to wash it. I didn't really see where anyone else had this problem, so maybe it is a fluke for me? I will give it some time and update if it airs out okay. As for the cancer warning on the label, it is because it is full of sawdust (and not cancerous chemical soaked sawdust, plain non chemically treated sawdust). Apparently, inhaling plain sawdust (as in if you cut wood and breathe in that air) can cause cancer. You are not breathing in this sawdust (it is fully enclosed) but it doesn't make any difference to the California cancer warning. So if you don't cut it open, throw it in the air, and inhale it all, you will be fine.Update: After leaving it in a bag with some moisture absorber packs, the smell is pretty well gone. I spritzed some febreeze on there and it smells nice now so I moved it up to four stars. Annoying, but glad it worked. I don't know why the manufacturer doesn't ship it with something to absorb odors and moisture.

NICE TO KNOW THE QUALITY SURVIVED
As a longterm sewer and craftsmaker, I have a 50 year old taylors "ham". I was nervous about ordering online without seeing and feeling the quality. Dritz is a well known name in sewing products. They have stayed true to the quality! Impressive. I do recommend and appreciate the great price point. Thanks!
