They are thin, very thin. My installer balked at doing them. My brother came and did them. Not as easy as subway tile.They look fantastic. They are so different from the regular big box home improvement products.I installed butcher block countertops so I didn't want pattern. These are so small and give off a glow instead of a pattern. So happy I stuck to my original idea and installed these. Unique and faintly retro.

Love, love, lovvved these! I was on the hunt for an interesting, white and cost effective tile to do a backsplash in my bathroom. I saw pearly/shell tiles at the big box home improvements stores and they were $15-25 per sheet! I fell in love with the look of pearl and thought it would go beautifully with my marble vanity top.I came on amazon and my search began. I found this product and was super suspicious honestly. In my experience, if the price is too low, then there is a good reason. I read the reviews and decided to gamble. I won!!! These tiles are stunning. The pictures do not do a justice. They catch the light from different angles and some even have some opalescent/rainbowish effect to them. lovely!I have done lots of tiling before and I was surprised at when the box came-- it was so small! I opened it up and saw the thinnest tiles I have ever seen. I was a little bit afraid of how grouting would turn out.I used an a thin layer of white thinset and unsanded, white grout. To my surprise, It was incredibly easy to grout. In fact.. it was the easier grout job ive ever done. I wish all tiles could be this thin.. it makes filling the grout lines a breeze! Just be careful when putting on the thinset- because of the thin nature of the tile, you cant be too generous or it will squish out in between the cracks.I read somewhere on a review here that someone thought these were fake?? What a bizarre comment..I had to hand nip some of these tiles-- they are most definitely real shell..there is no doubt about it.The only con I can think of is after washing off the grout, it was pretty difficult to get the original super shine back on to the glossy tile. I suspect that sealing it will bring the high gloss appearance back. But i have yet to do so.I would buy these again and again.

Very beautiful and good quality mother of pearl and the price is the lowest of any where I have seen. I've done a few tile installs and this installation was pretty easy. Some sites say to use a 3/16 knotched trowel however I used a 1/16 square knotched trowel (bought on amazon) to keep the thinset pushing through to a minimum. If any pushes through just wipe off with a wet sponge. I used premix thinset/mastic bought at HD. Do not expect the individual squares on each tile to be strictly in line. There will be some squares that are slightly off line (maybe 1/16-1/32 of an inch) and some will be very slightly twisted but to me this does not take away from the tile. It actually makes it easier to install because if you were trying to perfectly line up every tile while installing you'd pull your hair out. Tile cuts easily with a wet saw. I even used my regular blade and did not have to use a glass tile blade. Trick for cutting on a wet saw, place two scrap pieces of regular tile (ceramic or porcelain) on the saw tray leaving a gap for the blade to slide through. Then span the mother of pearl tile across the two scrap pieces and push through the blade. The scrap pieces give a flat surface for the tile and will help hold it steady.

At first there was en error in the delivery; but they quickly rectified the problem and I received the rest of my order within 4 days. The Mother of Pearl Tiles are exactly as described and pictured. The seller was very helpful and cooperative. The tiles are thin; but very strong & perfect for a wall or tabletop. They are white; not cream,. I will use cream colored grout to warm it up. It was packaged well. This is the best price I've seen. For a backsplash or table top, these are perfect. When I install them I will add pictures. These are images that I took to preview what it will look like.This is the actual instillation. These are glued to the wall with E6000. Because of the curvature of my dining table, I had to place many in smaller groups and others individually; but all that work was worth it.These Mother of Pearl tiles are beautiful and the E 6000 is so strong; you can hardly remove them without damaging the wall surface; but that's okay, because I want them on my walls to stay.

MOP tiles were affordable and a quick fix for our Vacation home in AZ... read in the reviews to use a glass cutter and tile nippers to cut... the only issue was the tiles being so thin they were very hard to break even after 2 passes with the glass cutter and sometimes broke... turned out great though and they sparkle with a slight aurora borealis Hugh. Took about 2 1/4 days for prep, instal and sealing and that includes taking down the vent hood fixing the fan and panting it white to match the stove. Would buy again.

This tile is very pretty but as thin as a fingernail. Not good for my application. I returned it

Looks so pretty on the floor of my shower. I decided to also put it on the bathroom floor and it looks fabulous!

These tiles are beautiful!!! I'm very happy with the thickness (very thin as I needed). They are so easy to score and cut. Love these tiles so much!
