Bestop5120901 Windshield Channel for 1976-1995 CJ5/Wrangler and 1964-1984 Toyota Landcruiser

When I recently purchased my '85 CJ7, the previous owner included a bikini top (still in box). Upon trying to install the top, I discovered that the windshield channel was missing. I ordered the Bestop 51209-01 from Amazon. It fit perfectly, especially considering that a previous owner had already drilled the required holes. It took me more time to clean the weather seal from the windshield than it did to actually install the channel and bikini top.It works great. No issues.

I bought the Besttop bikini top and needed this rail to attach it to the windshield. Nice heavy metal two peice kit and appears that when i install my hardtop back on I wll not have to remove it. Exactly as described and works perfectly with the Top.The outside edges are slightly bent to wrap down the corner of the windshield. I drilled and anchored it there before drilling the rest of the 1/8" holes so it lined up on the ends perfectly.(It has oblong holes in it so you can adjust 1/4" either way to make the middle line up. I also placed a small amount of silicon chaulk in each hole to prevent leaks and the dreaded windshield rot that occurs to jeep windsheilds.

I have a 1979 CJ7 with an original hardtop. Last summer I decided to install a bikini top for fun. The product goes on and fits perfectly. Only problem is that there are no provided sheet metal screws to attach it to the frame. Additionally, for those who are wondering, you cannot have the windshield frame channel on and a hardtop. You must take the channel off in order to reinstall your hardtop. Great product, easy to install, and does its job.

Product was bought for a friend, said it fit perfectly and all the screw holes matched up exactly! Was impressed that the product came with extra screws, in case dropping and losing a couple! VERY thoughtful!

Allot easier than I thought it would be to put on! Just a drill and it comes with some extra screws for a reason..... 😅 I dropped a few..

I have a 1979 CJ, it fit perfectly and was easy to install.

This showed in the pictures, etc as black but what I received was white. Make sure if the color is noted somewhere that you double check it. Returns are easy at least but now I’m on the hunt for black.
