The smaller insects do seem to be difficult to zap. They move away with the breeze of the mesh coming towards them. Yet, very satisfying when you do manage to get them!

This tennis racquet gently fries flies and they fly away ...
This tennis racquet gently fries flies and they fly away leaving thick smell of burned chitin behind. In total, I chased 2 flies and 2 moles. Results:- one mole and one fly were killed mechanically by hitting it with the racquet hard enough- one mole escaped- one flie kept moving inside the electrified mesh and producing smell until I turned the racquet off and used a pencil to push it out of the racket, and then killed with my slippers.On the bright side, I have not broken anything in the house during the 2 days use, so returning the racquet made it a cash-neutral transaction.
