Aputure Fresnel 2X Lens Mount for Aputure 300D II,300X, 120D Mark II, and Other Bowen-S Mount Continuous Lights

This thing has already paid for itself. I've rented a lot of fresnel heads, but never wanted to own one because they are a) expensive and b) massive. This is neither of those. It simply collumates the light and lets me put it precisely where I want it. I'm using it on a Godox A600, using high-speed sync in bright daylight, and the results are spectacular.

The build quality is much better than I anticipated. I couldn’t imagine owning a 120D without this fresnel lens. I’ll be using this for films and commercial work.

This fresnel adaptor works just as good if not better than any built-in fresnel lens. Used it about 60’ away from a stage with my Apurture 120 light and it did great. Lit the subject well...and paired with barn doors there was no light spill-over.

This is a great Fresnel attachment, but unfortunately doesn't work as expected with 3rd party COB lights. Bought to use with my Godox VL300, but the beam isn't as I'd hoped for. After some testing, I found it wasn't working as expected. So I searched for other reviewers and found Fellow Filmmaker had covered it in one of her YouTube videos. Attached are screenshots from the video.

If you have the Aputure 300D Mark ii then you must get this accessory. First off, be aware that this isn’t a COB equivalent modifier to a traditional HMI or Tungsten fresnel lens, the Fresnel X2 is a completely unique light modifier for your COB light which gives you massively increased light output & the ability to flood & spot your 300D Mark ii light. Well worth the price. 👍

Like most things Aputure sells, this is a great product and well built. It might have been a little nicer if there was a small (screw in?) handle to rotate the lens.

well built and the cary soft case is superb

Works well with high power LED lights. Cannot use with flash heads as the modelling light bulb has to be removed. as it fouls the lens hence only 3 stars

Great value, works brilliantly with a Godox AD360 in a Bowen's flash holder. I've looked at "proper" fresnels but they are more expensive than a top end camera. I'm not a pro gaffer, but this is perfect for my needs. It creates a perfectly round spotlight.
