whats the diameter of the pot?

5 and 1/4 inches diameter. it's 2 inches deep. kind of small, good for a cup of hot water, hope this helps. cheers :)

Can you put it all together for easy travel?

Yes It is all Self Contained within the top and bottom. I had to spring the handle slightly in order to get a snug fit.

Can the handle of the frying pan lock in place for cooking?

The handle is attached via hinge to the largest pan. So it functions as both the frying pan handle and the method for securing all the pans together as seen in the picture.
