After 5 years: The good and the bad (?)
I've had these for 5 years. Keep in mind I used this and Apple's tips interchangeably since sometimes I want a softer touch and sometimes a firmer touch. Here are my personal inputs:Pros:• Always used paper matte screen protector and it's still working fine until this day. The noise they make together is so satsifying too.• Never had any connection issues. It fits right in, making it easy to use.• The tip is truly small like advertised. They're way smaller than the other metal tips I've purchased. As someone who prefers 0.3mm over 0.5mm, this is a game changer.• Other metal tips that I own have this very teeny tiny 0.01mm distance between below the tip and the line; and safe to say that always pmo and that's literally all I could notice when I'm writing. This one though the line fits perfectly right below the metal tip, which contributes to the reason why I like it a lot!• I've recently changed my screen protector (it's still the same kind, since it came as a alpack of 2 I finally replaced it to the 2nd one) and that was grinding my Apple Pencil down a lot. This, though, is still holding strong :) It's been holding strong since the first one.Cons:• They can definitely scratch your screen if you don't have a screen protector on. But considering how I've been using the same matte screen protector for the last 5 years, safe to say you'll be fine if you have one on.• There'll be a small gap between it and your pencil. Small thing but it could bother some. Please don't try to twist it in tight, trying to closen the gap like me because ⬇️• The tip can stick to your pencil like glue if you twist it in too tight. I can count more than three times where I have to use the silicone tip cover of my apple pencil cover to twist it out because it was just stuck stuck. There's evidently marks of when I struggled to twist it out with random objects before I found the holy silicone tip cover grail in the picture 😭I don't think I need to say more to show how much I like them. The pros definitely overshadows the cons :)

Loved these tips!
Works well with my Apple Pencil 2! Comes with a little box to store it which can also store so other small stuff like paper clips and sticky notes. The box is easy to open so I kept it for use not just for store reeyear’s nibs. Overall good buy.

Upgraded Pencil Tips for Apple 2nd Gen – Just Like Original, Maybe Better
I was pleasantly surprised by how smoothly these replacement tips glide on the iPad. They’re responsive, durable, and feel very close to the original Apple tip—maybe even better with a slight bit of grip. Great value in the multipack too. A must-have for digital note-takers and artists.

I will not return to the original tip! Love!
This has been a game changer for me! I will not go back to the original tip. I have struggled for so many years with my handwriting on the iPad, but with this, oh this makes me happy! I’m actually excited to journal more now :-). Works very well with paperlike screen protector.

If they don’t wear out; what is? ‼️
Pros:On the surface, these upgraded pencil tips seem appealing. They promise durability, accuracy, and a writing experience closer to a real pen. Initially, the fine-point nibs felt precise, providing a decent level of accuracy while sketching or writing. The compatibility across various iPad models is also a convenient feature, especially if you’re working with different generations of devices.Cons:However, I quickly became concerned. These nibs rely heavily on friction, and since they claim not to wear out, it left me wondering—what exactly is wearing down? After regular use, it genuinely felt as though I was potentially damaging the screen of my iPad. The resistance felt harsher than comfortable, and the lack of natural wear on the nib made me uneasy about the potential long-term impact on my device. Personally, I’d recommend sticking to the original Apple Pencil tips. It’s better to replace nibs occasionally than risk damage to your expensive tablet. Trust me, the peace of mind is worth it.
