The use of this for my specific device (Cannon ES55 video recorder) was indicated in the project description. There was a plug that was appropriate for my device. However, the specific DC voltage required for this device is 8.4 V. The available voltages on this item do not include 8.4 volts. However, selecting 9 V did power up the device though I have some concern about potential damage at the higher voltage

Love this has many attachments included. Helped me solve my problem for a cord to an ancient transistor radio! Now I don't have to keep putting batteries in it for it to work. Highly recommend.

Tried to use this for the first time 3 months later on 2 different types of devices, a 6V Ride-On car and my 4V powered screwdriver, and they both failed. In both cases, the power supply lights up and the rated amps from the power supply is more than enough for the device to be charged, thus no concerns there.Item #1: For the 6V Ride-On car, it has power but could be faulty, and there was some indication of CURRENT given out by the device. I left it charging for 8 hours and the battery was still dead.Item #2: Ryobi 4V Charger. No charging indicator light on my powered screwdriver, despite the power supply showing it is on. I then purchased a dedicated charger (same currents) and it worked, so it wasn't the screwdriver.Disappointed. Test your unit within the return window. I returned too late and there was no Product Support option, only to Write a Review, so here we are.
