Excellent Game
The writing of this game Is so well done. Even on games from hunt A Killer I don’t care for, I’m still impressed with the writing. The environment is as present as any of the characters

Disappointing — to the point it ruined the good parts
Ok. First off, it does need to be said, that the quality of the box and the materials was very nice. Also THE ACCESSIBILITY IS AMAZING!!! Hunt a Killer provides not only hints on their websites BUT ALSO TRANSCRIPTS of both audio and visual text that could be hard to view. Absolutely satisfied — my friend really appreciated having the audio transcribed so she could follow along too!Absolutely would recommend stuff from this brand… just not this particular box.Sometimes mystery games can be a little anticlimactic but Blair Witch Season 2 took this to a whole new level. What little plot and mystery there was, was completely overshadowed by filler (admittedly very nicely made filler) and just… lack of follow through. There was no real conclusion, or even a sense of accomplishment. We feel like we did… nothing of note. Like us « investigating » had zero impact. Only way this could have been worse was if I had gotten this as a subscription and had to wait a month between each box for the next disappointment. Especially since some of the boxes didn’t have much to do. They very easily could have been condensed into three or four boxes. It still would have been a disappointing plot but each « section » would have felt more involved, rather than just a way to stall for time. The codes were a bit fun to decode (especially the « runic » one)— or at least, they were at first. Towards the end, translating the codes that you already had the key for was the only « mystery ». Hunt a killer also did achieve a « creepy » feeling with the materials/text so kudos to them for that. But creepy feelings doesn’t make up for no mystery! Finally, they also over-inflated the amount of time this would take. They say 10-15 hours of gameplay, whereas it took us at most 7hrs (for two people). The longest was the first box and that was just because it took us longer to get organized and our system of passing the papers between us worked out.In all, try stuff from Hunt a Killer, just ABSOLUTELY NOT this season. It’s not worth the money at all.

A Fun Solve-The-Mystery Game With Exquisite Game Pieces
I enjoy many board games, particularly sports and the Winterhaven Gloomhaven combo. I have several detective board games in a genre similar to this game. I am unfamiliar with the Blair Witch seasons, which I assume is a television program. I enjoy playing this game despite having no background in the television program it is based on. The game components are very well made and add an ambiance to the gameplay that is equaled by few game systems. I noticed that multiple seasons of this game are available. If they are similar in quality to this one, I will get some of the additional series. The gameplay is a cooperative solve-the-mystery type of board game. It works great for a gathering of friends for an evening of play between two to four players. It does not work well for solo play. The product description is accurate. It arrived in two days without any issues. I would definitely get this game again.

Fun gameplay
I’ve heard about Hunt a Killer because they sponsor some podcasts that I listen to. It sounded like a fun game but I don’t like monthly subscription boxes, so I didn’t look into it any further. This box set presented an opportunity to see how it all works so I was excited to try it out.I was a little concerned the story wouldn’t make sense since it’s a “Part 2”, but they provide enough background that I didn’t feel lost.So far I’ve done the first two episodes and it’s been pretty fun. The materials in the box and on the website help immerse you in the story. So far everything has been made to a high quality standard. I was impressed to see that a poster designed with aging effects was printed on both the front and back to give the illusion of old moisture stains. So far I find the puzzles to be engaging without being horrendously difficult; though I did need to take advantage of their hints page for the first episode as I got a handle on the gameplay mechanics. The game suggests that you should have a dedicated place to play, so you can spread out the evidence and refer to it as you progress through the episodes. I don’t have the space to keep all this stuff out so that may impact my experience as I go on. Besides, I have a young kid who will definitely start messing around with these items if I leave them out. The first box included a bundle of fake teeth, and the second had a small paperboard house that you put together. I can see from the product photos that there will also be a doll at some point; there’s no question that all these items would be pilfered from my “dedicated gameplay space” and become rather macabre playthings of a little Blair Witch in training. There was a puzzle in episode 2 that was a little silly: it relied on the use of glow-in-the-dark ink to reveal a hidden message. I had seen the “hidden” message immediately because it was more matte than the surrounding paper, so I spent a lot more time on that clue than I should have because the message was so obvious I thought I was supposed to be looking for something else. In addition, I was working in a dim room at the time so the glow-in-the-dark ink didn’t get a chance to “charge up”, so the message didn’t glow anyway.Regarding the design of the box set itself, I wish the sides of the individual episode boxes had been printed with the episode number so it would be easier to see which one is which. Instead, the episode number is on a sticker used to keep the box shut until you’re ready to start the episode, but since that is not facing outward you have to pull them out to find the one you want.Though I’ve noticed a couple of small issues, overall I think this is a really fun and unique game night idea. It’s pricey in my opinion, but when you take into account the quality of the materials in each box and the digital assets that go with each one, I can see why that is the case. That being said, it’s not a level of expense I'm willing to commit to on a long-term basis so I’m much more likely to occasionally purchase a box set when I feel like treating myself, as opposed to subscribing so I can play on a regular basis. That being said, I’m looking forward to continuing with the next episode in this set when I have some free time.

Fine but overall lackluster Hunt A Killer game
I have enjoyed many Hunt A Killer games but found this one lack luster. What each episode needed to "solve" was never clear. I also don't like having to submit answers online all the time.We took longer than needed because it always felt "is that it?" so we'd put around re-examining things.
