Good source for children

It is perfect book to start learning Arabic

Maybe a good book for just learning to write letters, but there are exercises where you have to make words and it does not show you how to connect middle and ending letters. Not all letters in Arabic connect; for example "ra." Yet the very first pages asks you to connect raa and alif together without showing that they don't actually connect. I feel that this book is missing some key steps for kids.
