Perfect part of my complete sleep system
This sleeping pad is light weight, packs small, and easy to inflate/deflate. The included pump sack allows you to get good inflation without breathing into the pad. The insulation on this is awesome. The material reflects your body heat back to you and is really comfortable to use with my sleep system.I use this in conjunction with a military-style modular sleep system. It fits perfectly in my bivvy and is a great addition to the sleep system. One word of advice with its size: I'm 5'10" and 170 lbs and this sleeping pad is exactly my size. If you're taller or bigger, you may want to opt for a larger pad.

Quite and comfy
I have gone through my share of lightweight sleeping pads. I had the Tensor but was plagued with multiple leaks, even when being very careful. It was also a cold pad, and the cold ground seemed to travel right through it. I read reviews in online publications and it was mentioned this Therm-a-rest is more puncture resistant and that got my attention. It is a few ounces more than what I have now, but it is also insulated. I took it to Point Reyes recently and was thrilled with the comfort, and the quietness compared to other brands. If you can afford another couple of ounces and the fact that it packs slightly bigger than some ultralight models, I would highly recommend this pad over several of the ultralight brands out there. It is an investment, but i think this is one that will last a while without too many field repairs, fingers crossed! Great price here on Amazon and the shipping and delivery were spot on.

The warmest pad i have used !
I finally got a chance to use this in temperatures below 20 degrees . I am a hammock camper and back packer so I am always looking for light weight and compact everything. This rolls up smaller than the Nieo Air and weighs in at just one pound. It has an R value of 5.7 and inflates with 20 or so breaths. I put my sleeping pads inside my sleeping bag when the weather is cold because it makes a huge difference in how warm you will be. With the temperature going down to the upper teens I chose to sleep in light weight thermals , no jacket , and standard weight sox. My bag is a military surplus rated to 40 degrees, and I coverd that with a snugpak jungle blanket. I literally broke a sweat. I was very snug. This sleeping pad is the warmest I have used and super light. My search for my pad is over and it has earned a permanent position in my pack.It is worth the money if you are a hard core camper or just incest on having the best gear you can get. I use my gear hard and have to depend on it. Thermorest has a good reputation for durable gear so you won't have to worry about the pad deflating on you causing a bad situation on a cold night. It is well worth the price and I would buy it again.

Weekend backpacker and camper
I have owned many sleeping pads including other Therm-a-rest pads. This one is absolutely my favorite. It packs down small and is very light especially considering the R value. For comparison sake I took my Klymit Static V and tried it the first night @ 35 degrees. I was a little chilly in my 30 degree bag. Granted this pad is much cheaper and still very comfortable but the r value is 1.3. The next night I used the NeoAir and I was too hot. I had to unzip and take off my wool shirt. It is very comfortable and seems pretty durable for an inflatable pad. I bought the wider model as being able to rest my arms on the pad is a big plus and worth the extra couple ounces. This is also great for side sleeping. It does make some noise when moving around but who really cares. I would buy it all over again. Great product.

It is extremely comfortable. Very warm
I only gave it a 4 because it does need a little air after each night's sleep but I'm probably being overly critical (although it is a pricey little pad). I've never felt the ground through this pad. It is extremely comfortable. Very warm. Very light. It's so easy to repack that I actually swapped the sack for a smaller one I had lying around. It attaches nicely to my Enlightened Equipment quilt and the bag for blowing this guy up actually works pretty well. It makes a little noise when you move around on it but nowhere near as loud as many others said it was. I don't even notice it.

Really cool air matress with some versatile perks
Really like this matress so far. Its my third one as I have always gotten cold backpacking in the sierras. After going through 3 different bags but not quite reaching slumbernal bliss my research has turned me toward a better matress. This was the one with the highest R factor I could find at the time. Of course I saw one with a higher rating after I bought this but I really like this one for several other reasons. And it wasnt much higher of a rating anyway. I have not gotten to test it out in the back country yet but I did sleep in my van on a cold desert night. It was the first time I've gotten hot in a sleeping bag since my last slumber party. It is a comfortable back packing matress. Plenty long and wide enough for my arms to stay on. Im 6' and 210 lbs. I csn lay on my side without my hips touching ground. People have said its noisy, I didnt think so. I really like the inflator bag. Super easy to use, quick and didnt get light headed. I hear it helps to be warmer by avoiding the moisture from your breath inside the matress. I also really like the way you can use that same bag to make the matress into a mini bean bag. Its barrel shaped so you can sit on it like a short stool or flip on side to sit lower or you can put it against a rock or log and lay back against it. I hope to update this review by telling you how I roasted on my next back country trip.

Great 4-season backpacking sleeping pad
Very good balance of weight & thermal performance for lightweight backpacking in colder temps. I recommend using an inflation bag to keep moist warm breath from creating unwanted growths inside the pad.

Well worth the price.
I bought this for a late winter camping trip in Southern Utah and it performed incredibly well and it is super compact when it is deflated. The temperature were down into the teens overnight with snow on the ground but it was so warm with it inside my sleeping bag that I slept in my skivvies comfortably. It was so comfortable that I would have a hard time getting up in the morning to make food and go hiking.Well worth the money if you intend to camp in below freezing weather.

Worth the Cost
Being a side sleeper, I was about to quit backpacking because I was crippled after one night on every other air pad I tried. Did a four night trip in Algonquin last week - worked perfectly. No aching hips or shoulders. Stayed inflated. Quick to inflate and deflate and is light. Wish it packed up a little smaller, but small inconvenience. Will update after more use.

Does the job and its intended use. Good reliable pad.
I like the warmth of this pad sleeping in 2c. Felt no cold from the ground. Took 10 Bernoulli bag breadth to inflate and took almost no time to deflate other than folding back into the bag. Weight and size is good compromise for bike packing. Not really an issue for side sleeping. Must say the downside is slippery and since it is flat, the tendency does not “cuddle” you in place like other competitors. Noise wasn’t an issue for me and the pad did it was supposed to; provide support and warmth with an R6.9. Haven’t tried it in -15c yet.

ok
