IPS Nixie Tube Clock, DIY RGB Digital Clock with 6-Digit LCD, Cyberpunk Mood Light, Gaming Desk Decor, Gift Box

I purchased this Nixie Clock at the beginning of the year, and so far it's been very good. It takes a bit of time to get here as it get's shipped from overseas, but upon arrival it's well packaged and pretty simple to set up. You get 6xTubes which you slot in the clock unit, I think there's some spares in the box too, once it's all ready then plug it into the mains and set it up via the app, it comes up as MarvelTubes on your phones WiFi settings, build quality is good with a weighty metal base, perspex body and glass tubes, Clock accuracy is very good as it's tied into your Wi-Fi network, there's 6 clock faces to choose from which you can have on random settings, I use one different clock face per hour, overall very happy with it, looks good & built well, functions & timekeeping are up to good standards too.

I bought this on Prime Day and got it down to about $100. Looks like there are clocks almost identical to this just with different casing on Amazon. Took a little while to arrive because I think it came from overseas but at least the shipping was free. QR code in the booklet brings you right to the website for the software. The software starts off Chinese but there is an easy switch to English. Little tricky figuring the time zone but for eastern US is -4. The software is solid and I haven’t discovered any bugs in the features. I believe the preinstalled software was version 1.06. The casing displays MARVEL TUBES. There’s a good website from the company. So the build of this clock is SOLID, nice metal casing and quartz tube covers the digital displays. Honestly I would have paid the full price if I knew the quality was this outstanding. Very happy, I like the many choices of displays. My 1 and only gripe, this has fantastic displays for all the number choices but I think the NIXIE display could be even more detailed because I real Nixie tube has layers to it and I think this should have the blacks more balanced. This is not much of a complaint because I think they are still great for what it is. There was great alarm features and the WiFi clock accuracy is a major win I think. Not sure why other people have pictures of other clocks in the reviews as this is the correct one. These are very nice by the bedside and I found it very therapeutic to fall asleep to.

Ho acquistato il prodotto con la connettività WiFi e lo trovo elegante e funzionale tuttavia emerge chiaro il problema della sincronizzazione che può risultare anticipata o ritardata di +/- 3-4 secondi; il ke è un peccato per uno strumento elettronico connesso a internet come lo sono ad esempio smartphone e PC !! Ciò è dovuto al fatto che il prodotto nasce probabilmente per il mercato interno cinese quindi per l'aggiornamento dell'ora utilizza un serve NTP che è ubicato in Pechino; indirizzo IP del server che però non può essere modificato !! Mi spiego meglio, il server NTP (network time protocollo per la sincronizzazione dell'ora di sistema) manda aggiornamenti dell'ora, secondi compresi, a intervalli che nn sono sempre uguali, potrebbe essere alla mezz'ora come all' ora ecc. e quindi l'aggiornamento avviene si quando il knock riceve dalla rete l'internet l'orario ma poi tale sincronismo viene volutamente sospesa forse per questioni di costi. Tuttavia essendo l'orologio di base "quarzato" anche se privato del sincronismo continua il suo conteggio del tempo con vita propria ma "sbanda" come è possibile verificare guardando ORAESATTA.CO in internet. Ho provato a scrivere al costruttore per richiedere la possibilità di connettersi ad esempio al server NTP di Darmstad in Germania ma per ora nn ho avuto risposta... peccato!
