If you use Adobe CC apps, then this is a great deal
I use Illustrator every day. I've tried many other programs over the years, and Illustrator is by far my favorite. I had an annual student-teacher subscription that I got direct from Adobe last year, during the Black Friday sales, and it happened the one-year commitment happened to end yesterday, so they automatically renewed this month at the full price. I happened to see the Black Friday deal here on the student-teacher version, and it's a better deal than getting it direct from Adobe - you save around $42 for the year. I called Adobe to cancel my current subscription, and they refunded the month that I just paid for. Then I activated this license that I just purchased from Amazon. It can be difficult to figure out how to add this to your existing account, so here are the instructions:** Before making your purchase, make sure that you meet the eligibility requirements for the Student-Teacher edition (if that's the version you're getting). Check Adobe's website for this information.** If you have an existing subscription, cancel it. You can cancel it and get a pro-rated refund for this month if you previously purchased an annual plan or an annual plan paid monthly at least a year ago. If your year isn't up, I believe you will just end up having overlapping subscriptions, which may still be worth it. If in doubt, call Adobe (get the number from their website)** Select the product options you want - make sure that they're correct, and make your purchase. I chose the one-time purchase, since it will autorenew at the non-Black Friday rate.**After making the purchase, if the Your Orders page doesn't come up, you can just go to that page.** Next to the purchase info for the product. click on Go To Your Software Library. You should see all of your software digital download purchases - this newly-purchased subscription will most likely be the first one.** Select and copy your Product Key.** You should see a "How To Redeem This Item" link directly above the Product Key. Click on it and follow the instructions. You will be able to paste the Product Key.** You will need to fill in your eligibility information if you purchased the Student-Teacher version. You will then need to confirm your eligibility, if you don't have something on file with Adobe already. It might confirm it for you automatically if you use an email from your academic institution as the email for your Adobe acct.** When you get to the point where it asks for a credit card, just click on Remind Me Later since it's prepaid. It won't autorenew a year from now without a credit card on file, and that's probably what you want, because if it autorenews, you won't get the Black Friday discounted plan. A year from now, you'll be able to take advantage of next year's Black Friday deals, whether from Amazon or direct from Adobe - just check to see who's got the best prices.

Lightroom 1Tb is NOT the same as Photo Creative Cloud 20Gb
Ever since Adobe went cloud and subscription, it is so confusing to decide which way to go for subscriptions. I really only use Lightroom Classic and have done so for many years. The past few years I've gotten the LR/PS photo bundle with 20Gb of cloud data but this year I thought I would try the LR only bundle and thought it would be great to have 1Tb of cloud data. BEWARE IF YOU DO THIS!! The LR only 1Tb cloud bundle DOES NOT INCLUDE LR Classic!!! I found out the hard way when trying to activate my Classic after paying the annual subscription fee. CLASSIC IS NOT INCLUDED WITH THE LR 1TB PLAN!!Essentially I will not need to pay a separate monthly subscription fee to have the LR/PS 20Gb bundle and will not even use the LR 1Tb cloud plan because it does NOT include Classic. If you are a LR Classic user, beware of this difference. It was an expensive lesson for me. My own fault for not noticing but Adobe makes it VERY difficult to sort through their numerous plan offerings.

Maybe don't charge so much when there is Gimp.
I am a novice. I wouldn't say that this is intuitive to someone who isn't familiar with editing. However there is a ton of tutorials on YouTube and you can do a whole bunch of cool things with all the different programs. Once you get comfortable with the different tools, You can basically do the same thing with Gimp for free. It is still a great program despite the price.

Pain to set up
Easy to buy. Hard to link. Works well if you are willing to spend 6 and a half hours digging with different email addresses

Much better way to get adobe creative subscription
I appreciate Adobe's products, but I'm frustrated with their pricing model. Purchasing Adobes an annual subscription through amazon with no automatic renewal—keeping me free from unexpected fee increases—their practice of raising prices without a standard rate is concerning for sure. I love the product, but the business model leaves much to be desired.

BUYER BEWARE
While this is undoubtedly the best way to get the best creative software out there, the subscription period starts when you pay, not when you activate it. Do not buy several of these in advance thinking you’ll lock in the price, you’ll just be out money.

Using Amazon to subscribe is designed to rip you off: you'll never get one full year
You'll notice that nowhere on this product page, can you find any fine print/terms and conditions preparing you for how Amazon has set up this "annual" subscription to almost never give you the full benefit of the promised one year. In reality, the moment you make your purchase of this item, the clock starts ticking. However, there is a button to activate your subscription at Adobe, and to provide an e-mail address corresponding with your Adobe account. Only AFTER that full linking process is complete, does your actual Adobe subscription begin. But the clever capitalists at Amazon designed this digital subscription process to never give you the full benefit of your 12 months, unless at the exact same time you make your purchase, you also go through the multi-step activation process with Adobe. This means that if you activate and link one month later, in your mind, that's when the subscription begins. But Amazon's greed won't have it: you've already lost of month of your subscription, totally unused. It's as if you bought shampoo from Amazon, put it into your bathroom cabinet for a month, then found it got partly used up magically because Amazon assumed (i.e., demanded) you'd start using it immediately upon receipt.Amazon has no intention of changing this. You're warned. Buy elsewhere.

Lightroom is in fact easier to understand and navigate than previous versions
I find this new version of Lightroom to be easy to understand and navigate. The tools are explained thoroughly in the tutorials within the program. This is not a program that needs text books and videos to be understood. For the first time I will learn from the program it self. I have to admit I'm not crazy about the licensing agreement. Use over time will tell me more. As of right now I have no complaints.
