Really Tough!
Typical Surefire. Well engineered (maybe even over engineered...I mean, it just stores some batteries, right?) and will last forever. Strong, waterproof. A bit pricey, but with the cost of this type of battery (not cheap either), well worth the investment knowing they are securely stowed and won't be damaged or lost.

Holds everything you need to keep your surefire going!
This case holds batteries and an extra bulb assembly! Also very quiet, no rattle at all! I’m very happy with it! I highly recommend!

Pricy but worth it
Pricy but overbuilt and sturdy. will last until the day the polymers begin to break down and get stinky and brittle but that's a long ways away.

Rugged & Waterproof
Well, I guess I didn't read the product description correctly because I thought this holder only held 4 batteries. I ordered two and when I opened the box I discovered it held 6. Now, instead of carrying 8 spares I have a dozen so it is a net gain for me. I was particularly impressed by it's very rugged construction. the 'o'ring is not of the small thin type it is very robust. Another outstanding quality that I didn't expect was that with the lid secured the batteries do not rattle around. Overall this is a great product and should last longer than me. If you are looking for a secure, waterproof carrier for situations when you will depend on having spare batteries that work this is the product for you.

Better batt carrier than others 'out there'
I have two other Surefire batt carriers, a six-cell SC1 and a four-cell SC3, purchased over 5 years ago direct from Surefire. Like its previous iterations, the carrier cap has a gasket to ensure the carrier is watertight. Can be a good feature I suppose if one has a carrier in one's pack and takes a dump crossing a stream.I think the price is a bit high, but, comparing to other carriers 'out there', its probably worth the money. Surefire stands solidly behind their products. Good enough for me that I've returned to Surefire for this particular need.

Confirmed: Fits Six SureFire C123As. Works like a charm!
First and foremost, durability & sturdiness were not functionally tested as of this writing. They will be in the near future and this review will be updated accordingly. For now,...This spare battery carrier definitely fits six spare SureFire123A batteries. When placed, the batteries fit well, however, there is a little extra space for each battery and this can cause the contents to rattle when they case is closed. The batteries don't become dislodged from their slots, they just bounce around a bit. TIP: Stuffing a cotton ball (or 2) into the center of the case greatly reduced the rattling. The case's material appears sturdy and with the provided gasket, forms a watertight seal so that your 123A batteries are well protected and kept in serviceable and ready condition. When testing for water resistance, I emptied the batteries from the case, inserted a dry piece of tissue paper, insured the gasket was properly seated; then, resealed the container, and ran it under a steady stream of water for approximately 1 minute. When completed, the case was opened and the tissue showed no sign of water intrusion or capillary spread. Waterproofing and submerging of case has not been tested at this time. The only suggestion/criticism to be found with this case is with regard to the lid and body design. Specifically, the case doesn't have a retainer loop nor does it have a means of connecting the body to the lid in any way. The manufacturer should consider improving its already well-designed product by designing a retaining loop so that the 2 halves of the case do not get separated from each other or lost.Overall, this case does exactly what I need it to do: hold spare 123A batteries, keep them dry. Definitely recommended!

Cleverly designed battery holder
This Surefire battery holder is a great little case - emphasis on little! Yet it holds 6 batteries and a spare lamp too. It has a gasket to keep it water tight and it does a good job keeping moisture out, however, I'm too nervous to submerge it with the batteries in it. The mouse I show for size comparison is a standard size mouse, not a mini laptop mouse.I found that you have to watch the edge of the lamp module when you put the cap on because when the lamp pushes down it can catch the edge of the CR123 batteries and peel the plastic covering off of the corner of the battery. To be fair, it didn't seem to do this when I used Surefire batteries but when I had another brand in the holder I think their dimensions were very slightly larger. In spite of that, when I put the lid on more carefully I was able to avoid damaging the plastic battery jacket.

Surefire carrier
