The solder removal tool is not super quality but it is about the same as my last one that lasted me about 8 years. For the price, that is excellent value. The tool expels the old solder pretty reliably which is perfect for one handed use with minimal cleaning. I have no problems removing most components with the usual tricks of adding fresh, leased solder and some flux to get things flowing. The solder wick is the perfect width for repair work on SMD boards and works excellent with a little flux added to it.

Works well Good suction. Can I get a new tip when needed?

It’s a nice simple design and very easy to use. I was impressed on how good the suction was.

This spring loaded solder suction device did what is was supposed to do: remove the old solder. I used it to replace a component on a printed circuit board with very tight spacing. It saved me $1500 from having to replace the entire board on my hot tub. Maybe it wasn’t worth a repair man’s time but it was worth mine! .

Suction tape is not rated for high temp.

Strong suction. However the issue is control. After pressing the button to start the suction, the tool violently shakes when the plunger suddenly hits the end of it's travel and returns to it's resting position.Desoldering bulbs are old school. They are simple, durable, gentle, and much more controllable.

It's easy to reload the plunger with one hand while your working. Suction is good. The braid works as it is supposed to.

The desoldering pump looks like a used item, surface has scratches. It is not efficient.The desoldering wick is of average quality.Price is very high compared to the quality.Not recommended.

It is nice to have an extra item added to a package as this does. The lead extraction tube and desoldering wick are excellent ways to manage those hard to get at terminals that are micro small. Nice product and I am pleased with my purchase.

Works well

After many years my budget solder removal tool finally broke and came apart.I bought this on amazon and it feels like a much higher quality piece of kit that I was using previously.My old solder removal tool was a free one that came as part of a soldering kit many years ago, so probably wasn't the best.This one is more ergonomic to use and has much greater suction in comparison to the one it has replaced.I guess it will last many years.I havent used the solder wick as of yet, but it looks decent.Overall I'm pleased with the purchase.
