Prompt response from Seller for Review: Danger Avoid
Update:Seller kindly apologized for the problem - offered refund.I measured the conductivity of the metal shells of the two other brands I have - they are also highly conductive and can short (FosPower, Beznaka). So I should not have singled out this seller. For the straight connectors - its not a high risk - but for the 90 degree config - be careful.Original 1 star Review:Would have been 4 stars but for the Fatal Inexcusable Flaw:The shells are highly conductive - they are uncoated/unanodized and near 0 ohms - and since these are 90 deg elbows - adjacent plugs can rotate and touch ...this is a dead short and at the very least will blow fuses on your amp - or worse.(I already made my cable sets when I realized this per another reviewer's comment - so be prepared to heat shrink the shells.)2) The screws are far too long to accommodate 12 AWG (or 10 in my case) - so either file them or solder.(Its nice the are hex set screws - too bad you can't use them)3) The only brand I found the can accommodate 10 AWG without having to file down the screws is FosPower. You can bet the manufacturer is fully aware the shells can short together. They do not care if you blow your amp.Caveat Emptor

Rhodium-plated Preffair 4 Pcs Locking BFA Banana Plug are junk!
This is a review for the Rhodium-plated Preffair 4 Pcs Locking BFA Banana Plugs. I do not recommend these plugs. One of the BFA banana plugs was not welded together at all and came apart after assembly. The color "strips" to differentiate polarity are just flimsy rubber bands that come right off. The set screw assemblies do not work on thinner gauge wires as they fall out completely. The set screws are loose and come out easily. After plugging in the assembled cable into the speakers and removing the cable, the banana pins was still in the speaker's binding post and the plug's housing came apart. Avoid this product.

Cheap! Failed in first use...
I installed them on the intended wires, and inserted them into the banana jacks on my speakers. It didn't really feel tight upon insertion, so I pulled it back out to try and see why. The outer collar remained in the jack, and all that was in the wire end was the center pin.I would not advise using these! It appears that the plastic is not strong enough to hold the tip during use. I bought them because they were transparent and matched the scheme of the wires I built. Do not be fooled, just get some metal-collared types instead. My loss is your gain.

Great plugs
Before these plugs I ordered another set of cheap banana plugs on Amazon and these are far superior than those other ones. The thing that makes them better is the fact that you get two screws, one on either side, of the plug to secure the speaker wire inside the plug body. The other plugs I ordered are meant to have the speaker wire inserted from the bottom and they don’t hold very well. Also, being inserted from the bottom makes the wire stick out from the plug extending even further out from the back of the receiver and that’s no good. These plugs also come with heat shrink wraps that are color coded and helps identify your plugs much quicker. Once inserted into the receiver’s plug they stay and hold nice and firm. When you compare the price of these plugs to some on the market these are a steal! I very much recommend these to you.

A little pricey but worth it. Well built, easy to use
I'm using these with my Yamaha/Klipsch sound system and so far they are great.Material quality is one of the best I've seen and so is fitment. These were actually pretty hard to insert into the backs of the speakers and receiver which should make for a better contact patch overall.I used 14 gauge speaker wire with them but they could take thicker stuff, probably down to 10 or 8.The kit came with color matching shrink wrap but I didn't use it, I like the naked look better.
