Metal is pretty thin, gets the job done but requires a little more effort than with a pair of higher quality.

Would say these are suitable for use with a 2 Kg crucible.They are a wee bit short, so working time is a little limited even with welding gloves.With use, the metal will bend, but it bends back easily and has not broken yet through 50+ pours of aluminum.
