Purchased two of these RunCam Link kits for future builds from "SecurityCamera2000". I had to wait for all the parts to arrive for the drones (some from China) but when I finished the builds, one of the units was not working and I contacted SecurityCamera2000 way after the one month return window. After a couple of questions they simply sent me a replacement without any hoops to jump through. These guys are trusted and have amazing customer service. A+ SecurityCamera2000. These link kits are a great value for your money especially if your converting to digital. Latency is not noticeable and the quality of the video is pretty amazing. Light weight and durable.

Product was already opened and had solder on the board. This is not the first time.

This is the Caddx and DJI unit. They're all manufactured the same with the same specs. The camera is what changes the video quality. The Phoenix is decent in daylight, but uniquely it turns black and white in low light conditions. Provides real night cam contrast without the graininess. Now is the time to score this unit at 20% off, even if you want to swap out to a better camera. The Runcam Racer 4 is VERY cost effective and better than the Polar in daylight. With the discount, this is the same cost as the brick alone without antenna, ptz cable or camera from retailers.

Needed a replacement

The media could not be loaded.  The DJI Unit from runcam they call it the "LINK", it's really a DJI Vista Unit, or let's say, it works just like the Caddx Vista Units out there. In the box you get the "LINK" with the Phoenix Camera already attached. They also provide the "LINK" Runcam LHCP Antenna to the Unit. They provide one 6 wire connector. So you will have to soldier on all 6 wires to the "LINK" unit. If you're lucky and have a new FC Board it will have the connection for this 6 wire connector Runcam provides. If not, well it's clip, clip and start soldiering those 6 wires up. Since I was doing a analog conversion to the Runcam Digital Camera and Unit, it was Snip, Snip and soldiered the 6 wires up, which is easy to find for your RC board out there on the net for wiring diagram. Once you got all the wires connected correctly, power the Runcam Link unit on with a battery(Props removed of Course) so you can activate it through DJI, which took all of 15 seconds since it had the latest firmware on it. Disconnect battery, now connect your FC board to betaflight and setup for the DJI, basically make sure its set to serial on your ports and in configuration. Note: If your wiring up the 6 wires, Red power, and black ground power go to 2-6 voltage, I soldiered mine right on the power connector leads on the FC board, that's how all my Digital Geprc whoops are done from their factory. Next the white and gray TX and RX wires and here is the part a few people get wrong. Soldier the TX wire from the "LINK" unit to your RX UART port on the FC board. Then soldier the RX wire form the "UNIT" to the TX UART on your FC Board. The last 2 wires black common ground and SBUS get soldier onto your serial side of the FC board, or in my case onto a connector that already has the 2 wires on it. 1st time when your binding up, make sure props are off and you should get Video and battery voltage in your goggles. I had to go do the power hack, cause my "LINK" came locked at 25mw, simple 5 minutes to drop in the txt file onto the Vista Link Unit, boom 700mw, set to 50mbps, set to racing channel 1. Test flew same night at midnight and the camera did quite well, close to my Caddx Polar Camera, more grain than the polar, but better color than the polar. The 1/2 inch sensor records good quality and color, even though its only 720p 60fps. The sensor is a bit smaller than the Caddx Polar, so the Phoenix has a bit less pixels, so not quite up the quality of the Caddx Polar, but very close.

This was my first digital VTX. I've been waiting to buy one for a long time. The VTX portion is essentially just a caddx Vista. Where this unit really shines is the Phoenix HD camera. Not only is it good for low light but the larger lens size also gives you a really nice crisp picture.

Used for my LR 7 inch, was a little skeptical about the 60FPS camera but it’s perfect for cruising. Super happy with the price I paid and couldn’t be happier with the product!

Looked like a good product but did not want to dish out $700.00 more for the goggles. Am using the camera on a rc crawler and trail walks but hard to walk with goggles on (its a safety thing), will not connect to a FPV screen. Wish they would state that in the description.
