Magnet could be stronger but overall happy with the product.

This tool did exactly what I needed it do. I needed to retrieve a toilet closet bolt that I dropped into the drain. The bolt made its way outside my where my cleanout was. The pipe was 3' ground straight down underground where the bolt was laying at the bottom. I stuck the 48" flexible magnetic retrieval tool in the murky water within the 4" diameter pipe and picked up the bolt without issue. I thought I was doomed not being able to locate the bolt. This tool saved the day and $$ . I was very happy I bought this simple tool.

The tool can barely hold itself (12 oz) to a metal surface. The magnet will not hold close to 4 lbs. I changed out the magnet for a stronger one (that will hold 4 lbs) and it works as intended. However most people will not be able to change out the magnet. If you are picking up a singe bolt that is 6-8 oz it will work fine. If you really need to pick up over a pound look elsewhere.

Long, strong and flexible tool helped me pull out a 12mm socket from deep inside my Tundra V8 under/behind the valve cover. I had no idea the was about a foot of space under there. I couldn't even see anywhere near, but this fished it out in under a minute.

This is a must have in your toolbox. I was working on my BMW and I had a lot of screws fell into the engine area, places my hand would never reach and it would require of removing a lot of parts to get those screw. But this thing save me hours , all I had to do was to stretch it and pick up the screws. You have to get this tool. U won't regret it.

Magnet is strong enough to pick up large bolts. While it’s flexible to get around corners, holds a sturdy shape. I used it to fish out a dropped bolt around an engine.
