Durable and protective case for the iPhone SE
My son threw my phone across the doctor's office recently shortly after getting is flu shot. It made me wonder if I had done a review for the case yet. I had not, so here it is.I've had this case about 10 months now. It has kept my phone safe through numerous accidental falls and a couple of intentional throws. If I were to take my phone out of the case I know it would look brand new. Actually, the case still looks pretty new. This is a nice material that hasn't faded like you see with some other cases. It is still the same strong, bright red color as when I bought it. It is very sturdy too and has not scratched or chipped off. There are two drawbacks. One was the clear film that went over the touch sensor. I have medium length nails and it wasn't long before just pressing the sensor messed up the film. Once it was no longer smooth it stopped working because it couldn't "see" my fingerprint. I solved this issue by taking off that little circle of film. This means it is no longer completely protected from water but since I don't get it wet (let's forget my first iPhone SE that I washed, RIP), it hasn't been a problem. As long as I continue to check my pockets before throwing clothes in the washer, I should be fine. The second thing was that it is impossible to plug in to my charger with the case on. No problem really since I use a wireless charger that it just lays on. If you didn't have that option it might not work for you.Overall, I am very happy with this purchase and would buy a similar case again if I needed one.

Opening is difficult…
First of all, the case looks like it would be nice and sturdy, so that’s a plus. However, the directions showed a different case, and it took me quite a long time to figure out how to get the case apart to insert the phone. I finally figured out that the outer shell must be pulled apart from the screen protector since it wraps around it. After that there are several little black tags that I had to pull up to separate the inner case from the screen protector case. I’ve noticed some reviews state that the screen protector won’t read their fingerprints, but when I looked on the inside of the screen protector I noticed a clear removable sticker covering the button. I pulled that off and that left the button exposed and ready to read my fingerprint. I seem to be able to type well enough through the screen protector so far. Putting everything back together was easy enough; just make sure your outer “softer” case is wrapped around the hard case holding the screen protector. I’m rating this case 4 stars chiefly because the directions given didn’t match the case and I found it hard to get my phone in.

Good Otterbox replacement, minus the fingerprint reader
This is an early review.I got my first Otterbox in 2012 with my first iPhone and had been a brand loyalist until recently when I realized they stopped giving decent color options and I did not like my grey and blue blah-nstrosity. It was time to buy a new one, and I figured the generic market might've caught up with the whole "stick a phone in a plastic thing and stick them both in a rubber thing" idea.In fact, that seems to be the case. Most of the primary differences between this case and the Otterbox seem superficial: There is no Otterbox logo, the colors available here aren't available in Otterboxes, and of course, you can actually see the Apple logo. I can't really tell, but you might be able to pop off the plastic covering the logo and use the back-tap function in the accessibility features on your phone, which you can't do with an Otterbox. However, the rubber also seems stiffer coming on and off, making issues of water, hair, or dirt getting under the screen more difficult. It could get better or worse with time.Of course, the major difference is the fingerprint cover. Otterbox seems to have the edge on at least this case in that area. The first time I put it on, it didn't look right, it was creased and off-color. It worked the one time I used it, but then I took it off. However, in my experience, the fingerprint covers on Otterbox aren't worth the trouble regardless. Taking the case on and off for cleaning gets them loose and raggedy, and they tend to be sticky dirt traps anyway. I'd say, Otterbox or not, take it off, and it works as well anyway. The iPhone SE is water resistent enough that it doesn't make a difference, and I'm pretty sure the home "button" isn't a real button in any case. If you can part with the fingerprint cover, and I think you can, I don't think there will be an issue.Overall, if it was this easy for me to be satisfied with a generic on my first try, then Otterbox just has the brand name going for it now. I'm putting the big money cased behind me now and sticking with the cheap stuff.Update 11/3/22: Just now, the cover for the plug ripped off after months of fidgeting with it absentmindedly. It was pretty abrupt. Other than that, I've had no problems and might only replace for the color, which I would do with the same brand.

Have several
I have several of these cases the one I currently use I have had for probably 3 years. I bought another for my son and he has loved it as well. They seem well made and they protect our phones wonderfully at a quarter of the cost of the "name brand".

Good sturdy phone case. However….
The built in screen protector is not good. It doesn’t stick to your phone. It’s just a piece of plastic thats attached to the case and the touch screen doesn’t work well with it on. But I had my husband cut out the plastic screen protector and I just have a normal adhesive protector on it and it works well. So overall, great case, bad screen protector

It works
The case design is very similar to Otterboxes I’ve had before. Like copyright infringement similar. The plastic feels cheaper though. Like my old Otterbox cases of old, the plastic screen protector that is part of the case is prone to scratches. I just removed it immediately, as I like using a separate tempered glass. I also removed the clear plastic that covers the home button, as the cover makes my phone unable to read my fingerprint. All said and done, I like the look and feel my phone is well protected.

Good and Bad points
First the product is very sturdy and fully protects the phone. Unfortunately there are no instructions with it so it took several tries to open the black casing. I finally got it open but I can see where it could have been broken if I forced it. Also the plastic over the screen is hard to keep clean. I will be looking around for one with tempered glass and will give this one away.

Better than an Otterbox!
This case is awesome! Had an Otterbox and wore it out. This case was the replacement and I love it! It’s easy to use the buttons and the screen sensitivity is WAY better too. I will never buy an Otterbox again. This thing is on another level compared to the Otterbox. Highly recommend!

Case
It is a very durable case. It fell off the balcony two floors, hit the cement and didn’t break.
