Value Drill Set, Weak Tools, Gutless
Pros:Toss the drill and keep the caseVariable speed, reversing, cordlessAmazing variety of bits and drillsBoth Pozi and Phillips bits in two lengthsBroad selection of Torx bitsIncluded masonry drillsCase to hold everything in logical orderCase is light gray, not blackSingle #2 Phillips & Flat bit snaps to the drill bodyCons:Gutless, Not enough torque to bury a single #9 x 3" Deck ScrewTools are brittle or weakCase won't close properly, battery too wideNo hex or square drive bits1/4" Drive Hex sockets won't fully seat onto drive adapterMissing one Torx (T20) bit, extra T151/8" shank grinding bits seem misplaced on a 550 RPM tool, they need to spin at 20,000 RPMAll the small bits randomly inserted into the case, when I arranged them I found the missing T20Removing and inserting the bits from the case requires a tool, none providedI got this drill set from a local retailer on Black Friday for thirty, so hard to go wrong. I was expecting high torque from a 19.2V drill, not to be. I tried driving some 1/4" X 6" lag bolts into pine and they barely moved. In fairness, my 30-YO B&D corded 3/8" VSR Drill was none to thrilled with the lag bolts either, but it did drive them all the way. The All Power did drill many holes in the same pine with a 7/8" spade bit.All the Torx bits are a huge bonus for me inasmuch as large deck screws are now Torx drive. I'd much rather drive a screw than pound a nail for most any project. The is in no way a professional tool nor was I expecting great things. I'll use it once a month and be happy that it's all in one case. I dinged the rating one star because of the cons, none major but in total one star.Edit Nov, 2013, after using a number of the tools, they are weak or brittle. Example: the included phillips/flat bit snapped off after a few uses. The second long #2 phillips got through 10 screws before the flutes rounded and it was useless. Almost no torque, I couldn't bury a single The Hillman Group 47850 Star Drive 1000 Hour Deck Screw, 9 x 3-Inch in a soft pine 2x4. I have a 15-YO 12V drill that had no problems driving multiple of the same screw. Both had freshly charged batteries.
