Fit my Dyson wonderfully. I appreciated the video on the Amazon page with the instructions on how to install. It fits snuggly as if it was the original piece. The only hitch is that when when empty the canister I have to pull a tab bit harder to get the latch to release it to open because it almost doesn’t want to open but after once or twice it will release allowing the canister to open. I would purchase this again if needed and it was a great price for a replacement.

My Dyson Fluffy V8 has recently starting needing some replacements. This one fixed the dust bin perfectly! They have a video to show you how to put it on. The old one was a little hard to get off but I managed - but the new one popped right on. Works and looks exactly like the one that came on it. I’m very happy with the price and quality!

Leave it to others in my household to slam this lid shut like it’ll work forever. It’s plastic, it breaks - why do people think otherwise?This off-market replacement part works perfectly on my V8 Animal and is more economical than Dyson’s original (as of January 2023). Mine broke two months after its warranty expired, but what can you do?I gave it 4 stars for the unexpected difficulty during the install - but it has more to do with how Dyson made the part than how this part works. You really have to gently twist off the broken part - while sweating bullets because you might twist too hard and break the actual canister. I highly recommend being gentle with it and taking care not to rip it off in a moment of frustration.I also recommend keeping the original seal from Dyson in case this one doesn’t last.

original part broke when cleaning out the debris (plastic part) found this on Amazon and it works perfect ( still plastic) but a better price then going thru Dyson for a replacement,

I definitely would feel like this is better quality than the actual dustbin lid that came with the Dyson as that broke pretty quickly on us. This is actually our second time buying this because I broke the last one, but that was due to me dropping it on the floor and it hit just right and snapped, but I feel like it is very durable. Attaching it can be pretty difficult as you have to use a lot of force.
