The Claw has a classic, rugged and aggressive look that will have everyone doing a double take. The Claw is TreadWright’s answer for an aggressive tread design that at its core is a mud-terrain, but with design features that truly make it an any-terrain tire. The enhanced footprint, provides an aggressive off-road appearance, improves rock climbing and glossy surface traction but performs equally well on dry and smooth surfaces. It is designed to accept #17 studs. If you are looking for versatility and great performance, this one delivers. TreadWright has been manufacturing remolded tires in the USA for over 30 years. TreadWright uses a remold manufacturing process that is nearly identical to new tire manufacturing. The process starts with a premium casing (Goodyear, Michelin etc.) that has passed a complete integrity inspection. Occasionally we will repair and vulcanize a pinhole leak in an otherwise approved, quality inspected casing. The used tread is buffed off the casing and then completely rebuilt with a new commercial grade tread compound. The rebuilt casing is then remolded with the same presses and manufacturing processes used to cure new tires. These Bead to Bead tires have additional rubber added to the sidewalls and they are remolded with our TreadWright brand. The tread is a commercial grade rubber compound, which has proven to provide up to 25% more tread life than comparable imports in on/off road terrain. Recycled/remolded tires are used in 80% of commercial airlines, emergency response vehicles and school buses all across the US. The DOT has determined that remolded tires and new tires have the exact same defect rate. TreadWright Tires are produced with 70% recycled materials. Each TreadWright tire uses approximately 6 gallons of oil compared to 18 gallons for a new tire. Join the Remold Revolution!

treadwright The Claw 35" tires
The tires balanced well at installation. about 100 miles a tire tread separated. Treadwright quickly sent a replacement. After 88 miles another tire tread separated. Treadwright refuses to acknowledge any effort to replace the 2nd tire failure. Now at about 1500 miles another tire has failed, apparently due to poor manufacturing. Now i have 2 tires that are still ok, but afraid to use the truck for fear of another failure. Treadwright has not honored their warranty nor return my contact efforts. I regret purchasing their tires and would never recommend that anyone buy them. Never drove them off-road. I wouldn't dare risk my daily driver on those tires.

Bought these tires with a little skepticism I wasn't quite sure what the remold would be like. I ordered the the 315 70R 17's which is a huge tire. I had to take to a truck stop to get them balanced. These tires looked great and aggressive on my H2 and I was overjoyed to buy an American made product. To make a long story short only after less than 500 miles the left front tire tread detached from the base tire used for the remold and ripped a large hole in the middle of the tire. I had to drive 20 mph about 15 miles to make it home as I had no spare. To say the least I was not happy but I emailed the company and they promptly responded and offered a full refund if I wanted it but instead I chose to try the tires again as I am a die hard on giving an American company the benefit of the doubt. The new tire was promptly shipped and is mounted. I will write another review to let you know how these go after a few thousand miles. So 4 stars for customer service .

I'll start by saying this tire is a good looking tire
I'll start by saying this tire is a good looking tire. The size advertised is the actual size that the tire measures. let's get to performance...these tires were extremely hard to balance, I'm still not convinced they got the balance right after an hour in the shop. Driving down the road my 2013 Wrangler has a wobble. At first, I thought that it was my drive shaft which is a known Wrangler problem. My Jeep is lifted 3.5 inches, I've changed track bars, I installed a drop pitman arm on the steering box to correct the linkage geometry, everything is within factory spec now. My Jeep wanders so bad that I am not really comfortable driving with only one hand anymore in this rig. the road noise is moderate but not bad considering how aggressive the tread is, the noise is within reason. In an effort to troubleshoot the problem with my rig I installed my buddy's 35" Mickey Thompson mud terrain tires and suddenly my Wrangler handled like a stock Wrangler again. These tires are unstoppable in mud, once you get them turning they throw mud out of the tread like a boss. in my opinion, they don't belong on a daily driver.
