I have been using it for a year now. It still feels brand new! I love the mexican craftmanship and the quality of the gloves. Everybody's been raving about the smell and I took a whiff... it smells luxurious

Solid
Purchased these gloves as a gift for a dear friend and he loved them! It was his dream pair of gloves, given that they are used by professional boxers. The blue color wasn't flashy and were as described. These gloves were bought over 2 years ago and they're still used very frequently. They haven't worn down much at all so that speaks a lot to Cleto gloves and their integrity.

Hmmm interesting
Ive been boxing(casually) for over a decade, never fought in the amateurs because i run a business and dont have the time to dedicate to it. But i do fight once a year in cheesy 'toughman' style boxing matches. Ive owned various brands of boxing gloves over the years from Title, Everlast, offbrand, etc. These are the tightest and most compact 16oz boxing gloves ive ever owned. They weren't kidding when they said these were 'puncher' gloves. Its a struggle to get my hands into them and im not a big guy(5'7 142 pounds). These are so compact that they make me feel like a pro fighter. They feel and look like 14 oz gloves, its crazy, and it feels crazy good on my ego because im able to punch harder and faster with these than any other 16 oz gloves ive ever owned. Its like ive been driving a truck all my life and suddenly switched to a super car like a Ferrari. Slick gloves, love'em, hope they hold up over the years like all the rumors says. Cons- The thumb on these gloves is very short, my thumb usually smashed on the end and it does get uncomfortable. Although i do have unnaturally large and lanky hands/fingers for being 5 foot 7 inches. I suppose Mexicans have stubby fingers or something. Also the thumb connector that keeps the thumb in place is kinda loose and your thumb will wiggle around more than other gloves. I even missed a punch on the heavybag and caught the thumb and that really hurt. I prefer my thumb sown on seamlessly onto the entire glove and not just a little half an inch leather piece holding it in place. Thats the only real 'con' i have for this glove, the thumb could be a whole lot better.

Seem small at first
I love these gloves! At first they may seem to fit a little too tight but once you break them in they will fit like a glove. (No pun intended) not only do they look good but they are comfortable, padding on them gives a nice pop when hitting the bag. May seem a little pricy compared to other brands but you definitely get what you pay for with cleto reyes! Value for money is worth it.

Pretty nice but a little tight
I really like these gloves so far but I will say some of the previous comments may be correct. I'll have to remember to come back later and update my review. I have large hands and I saw that people with larger hands may have an issue. One glove fits fine where the other is probably just a hair too small but it hasn't affected anything yet as far as its use. The other issue is the elastic strap that is inside the cuff is pretty tight. When just putting my hand in the glove it's fine but when I put on a wrap it makes it very difficult to get past that elastic due to the wrap catching on it and since you already have one glove on I have to ask for assistance to get the elastic pulled up so I can get past it with my hand. I haven't used the gloves enough yet to say they are broken so this may be the issue. The padding on them are excellent and protect my hands well. They have awesome wrist support which I really like also. Overall I like the gloves and hope the break in period will help out.

-Beautiful quality/leather is amazing -Even with 14 oz, the fit is great for my small hands (with hand wraps) -When hitting the pads or heavybag, the gloves are making a beautiful "pop" sound -which I'm addicted to-. You can also feel the power in your punches. -It's is true that the gloves do need a break-in period, but for the moment the comfort is just improving -The cuff is long, you need to be aware of that. I had problem with my previous gloves (Fairtex BGV1): bruised knuckles and the fit, even with hand wraps, was not that good. When I decided to upgrade to Reyes, no more hands problem. In my 7 years of boxing, it's clearly the best gloves I've had so far. Little things that could be improved: Even though the stitching is good, few long threads were uncut inside the gloves. The logo on the right glove is a bit misplaced. Little disappointing considering the price, but it doesn't affect the performance of the gear.
