HeftySlider Storage Bags (Quart, 20 Count)

What was life before ziplocks?!?! These are my favorite go-to item in the kitchen. These baggies won’t unexpectedly unzip, and the gusseted bottom makes filling and sealing a breeze. Perfect for travel, too. Easy on the fingers for those with painful arthritis.

I go through these like crazy. I buy the quart, gallon, and jumbo sizes and use them for everything. Food storage, obviously, but I travel a lot for work and they're handy for packing smaller items together in the suitcase. The quart size is ideal for keeping all the parts together for various kitchen appliances, power tools, etc. that would otherwise get scattered.

I use these because they're BPA-free. I also prefer the slider closure to the zip lock. And the price is reasonable. I'm trying to get away from so much plastic use, but for now these are my go-to storage bags.

Bought these first end of January 2012 (you can check my orders). They came with pink/purple zip top and actually did their job. Very few of them failed and I was very happy with them.With the new order at the end of December 2012 I received what I thought would be the same order but these bags come with a blue zip top and routinely fail - I'd say more than 30-40%. I don't see how they can claim to be 2X stronger with this high fail rate? And yes, the zip top is what I am looking for to deliver and not split in the middle after zipping the bag...No idea what happened in the manufacturing process but this product is not reliable for me. And I don't see there's a way to insist on the old version with pink zip top.

I like everything àbout this style of bag & zipper. Easy to open and close. Keeps food fresh the longest out of the many different brands and styles I've tried!
