Works well with Linux and Windows 10 - 6 Port version
After reading all the reviews both negative and positive I took a chance, brought one of these sata to pcie cardsThe card came in a little box in an anti static bag along with a sata splitter cable and sata cables. It also came with the latest firmware. If you need it you can find it on silverstone website under product ECS06.The update tool uses same ASMedia ASM1166 SATA host controller, so it works fine with this card.Once its installed into your PC, there are little blue leds, to indicate there are drivers connected. All the drives show up, I'm able to access the drives, and look at the SMART data.I have had no issues using this card so far in my short testing, in fact I brought a second one.I have brought other Pcie cards in the past that have lasted a long time, so hopefully this card will do the same. The build quality is good and overall I would recommenced this card if you are short of sata connections.

Great sata controller
Works great, using this in a proxmox server passed to a vm, worked after following some guides on pci pass through.Low power usage compared to a LSI HBA as those can't go to the lower core states while this can.LEDs are very bright so I had to cover it up with a bit of tape.

Evaluation of PCIe SATA Card 4 Port (perfect for Mac Pro users)
I have thoroughly evaluated the PCIe SATA Card 4 Port. The purpose of this report is to provide you with an informed assessment of the card's performance and address the key features and benefits it offers.1. Overview:The PCIe SATA Card 4 Port is designed to expand the SATA capabilities of a computer by adding four additional SATA ports. It aims to provide an easy and budget-friendly solution for users requiring additional SATA data ports for their system.2. Installation and Compatibility:The installation process for the PCIe SATA Card 4 Port was straightforward and hassle-free. The card can be easily installed in an available PCIe slot, making it convenient for users to expand their SATA connectivity. Furthermore, the card is advertised as being Mac-compatible and has been verified to work with the Mac Pro 2019 model. This compatibility is highly advantageous for Mac Pro users who require additional SATA data ports, even if they have the Promise j2i caddy.3. Quality and Performance:The quality of the PCIe SATA Card 4 Port appears to be good. The card's performance meets my requirements and provides the necessary SATA connectivity for my setup. It enables the connection of additional SATA devices such as an additional drive I seated in the Promise J2i enclosure.4. Usage with Dual M.2 Card:Another notable benefit of the PCIe SATA Card 4 Port is its ability to provide data support to a dual M.2 card that requires a SATA connection for NGFF. Works in Windows 11
No mention in the description whether it works in Windows 11. I needed 2 extra SATA ports for 4k blue ray and DVD readers I took a punt, and yes, it works for me. No drivers needed.

Works as advertised
I installed this 2-port PCIe card in my home server running Unraid, and it’s been fantastic so far! Installation was seamless—the OS recognized it right away, and it really was plug-and-play. I didn’t need to fiddle with any drivers or configuration, which was a huge time saver.Though I haven’t pushed the card to its throughput limits, it's more than capable of handling our media storage setup on slower disks. Stability has been rock solid, and it keeps everything running smoothly. Highly recommended for anyone looking to expand their storage easily!

Looks well made
Can't give answers yet but will when tested. As used a two sata pci Express converter and different chipset and it works but it fell to bits at ports which is why I have bought this as media one and normally a good company so looks sturdy , and cable's with it locking ones. Speed should be fine. I am not using for raid so I just hope it's plug and play through windows. Other came with driver disc but no software with this one and storage well if recognises more than 10tb then all great even 5tb and DVD bd rw I will be happy. I will update as tested. Thank you. Well recognized straight away by windows and other OPS so im happy no messing 6 ports as says.

Card seems to have died after being on a single night.
Worked fine at first. Left the computer on over night whilst it was doing some stuff. Next day the drive connected via the card no longer shows up. Can't get any drive to be recognised through the card. Don't waste your money

found it causes hangs with trunas
TruNas was working perfectly, I added this card, and had a couple of hangs, something it's never done, removed and swapped the card and trunas was happy. Pretty clear where the issue was.
