Primo609 Quick Lights Fire Starters, 24-Pieces per box

These work great for lighting a charcoal fire. I purchased them twice and would buy again. Just strike and drop in the charcoal and it starts. You do have to plan ahead as it takes a bit of time to get going. I just have not had good luck with electric starters - while they work well, I tend to leave them too long and they melt. I live alone, and cook alone, and prefer something I can walk away from and trust it to start while working on other items.

The product is smaller than I expected. I was looking for the bigger fire starters, but they really do get a good fire going. You have to use three or four instead of one to two. Price is to steep for the size of the product. I will not by them again for that price, because I can get the larger fire stick cheaper.

Weird product, but makes the starting of a lump charcoal fire much easier.

These do the trick to get my coals going, but I've found I need to take a lighter to it, to get _it_ lit. The box's striking surface becomes useless after a few uses.

These fire starters work great for starting a charcoal grill without lighter fluid. They burn long enough to get the fire going, and are reasonably easy to light. The match head/striker;however isn't that great. It's easier to just light them on fire with a lighter than to use the striker on the side of the box. It just doesn't work that well. But if you put them in the grill and light them you will not need lighter fluid ever again.If you're using a Kamado Oven, they're perfect.

These work great. I've used them for about a month now and find them to be a terrific value over more expensive options.

These are great fire starters that I use on my Grill Dome XL. The work as advertised, but being 3x the price of competitors they simply don't offer any value. I would look elsewhere unless you like being price-gouged.One other thing to note, when you strike the firestick against the strike pad on the box there are several times when the box caught on fire. From a design standpoint, it's a huge flaw and liability. If you go with these firestarters, then I suggest lighting them with a lighter rather than using the strike pad.Primo is an incredible company with great products, but they need to rethink this item...
