This porcelain tea set comes in a reasonably big box but it’s not as heavy as it looks. Opening it up and you’re presented with all of the set, neatly wrapped in plastic bags and divided with polystyrene padding. Nothing was broken in the set so the packaging it quite adequate. I’ve never had a porcelain set before so was intrigued to see what all the fuss is about. Looking at the cups and they are little heavier than I expected but do look nice. It’s a nice contrast between the white and gold and has a striking appearance. Looking closely though, there’s quite a few imperfections. It looks like the gold was painted on first and then finished with the white as the white goes over the gold in some places which you can tell wasn’t intentional. There is a black line mark on one side of the cup which won’t come off. Trying another cup to see if these issues are consistent and the second cup didn’t have any black marks and the gold around the cup of the base looked more consistent was showing more on one side than the other so still not quite right. These are only looking closely though and if you just look at it in use then you don’t notice these little flaws at all so maybe I’m being too critical. The saucers are very nice, and I couldn’t see any issues with them, and they are just beautiful. The cups sit securely in the grove made for them and the cup and saucer really look the part. Moving on to the sugar bowl and it follows the same design as the cups with its gold and white appearance. Everything looks nice and it’s very striking apart from a couple of small chips to the lid, which are larger than I’d like, and my eyes keep going to it, and it’s taking the beauty away from the sugar bowl. The teapot is very striking due to its size compared to everything else. I could see no real issues with it, and it just stood out from everything. There was a little bit of gold paint missing right in the crease as it meets the white pot itself but it’s hardly noticeable and not a problem at all. The teapot is my favourite piece of this set so far. The milk jar is also flawless apart from some slightly misaligned white paint which seems to be a theme throughout. All put together, this tea set stands out and looks absolutely stunning. It’s not until you look closely and examine that the flaws start to show themselves. They do offer a hassle-free replacement if you have any issues with any of them. Simply take pictures, contact them, and they will respond with a replacement or refund so if you have issues, they should sort them out. I was sent this for review, so probably won’t apply to me, but it seems that a buyer would get items replaced if defective. Basing my review on their hassle-free replacements, and presuming the damaged ones would be replaced, I’ll give this porcelain tea set 4 stars as it really is a nice set and really stands out. Not only that but it reminds me of the tea set in Beauty and the Beast, and I can’t stop seeing them when I look at these…I hope my review has helped you…

The present in the past, otherwise the past in the present.when looking at this fanquare 15 Pieces British Porcelain Tea Set, I have a feeling almost immediately that I am back in the past.This tea set is very beautiful when viewed from a distance or without attention to detail.I must say that I liked the fact that all the pieces arrived in one piece.Nevertheless I am disappointed with the overall quality of the set, it has too many small flaws.It seems to have been made in a hurry, and they had no care or attention to detail.When we consider the value that is requested, I have a feeling of devaluation of my money.I don't know but probably half the value would be acceptable, however being honest I'm more sure that a third of the current value would be the most appropriate price.

My set all arrived very well packaged in secure packaging. Excellent so far.However, the quality of these is terrible. Very cheap. I suppose for £80 -- a set of six cups and saucers, a teapot with lid, and a sugar pot with lid -- it might be considered decent value. But, one can feel that these really are quite poor.Bits of the white do not cover some parts and I can see 'within' the material. I have plenty of porcelain, and this material feels v poor in comparison, and there are a few places where you can see to what's beneath the white surface, too. The overall 'glaze' is patchy upon close inspection.

Gorgeous tea service. Noted only one very minor flaw (a tiny dimple) on the sugar pot otherwise quality very good.Design very attractive. Teapot pours well. Everything matches beautifully and came very safely packaged, although regrettably packaging including a lot of polystyreneLittle leaflet included was written in several languages and the English in it was a bit dubious and clearly not written by a native speaker.Style of service typui European/British but surely not actually made in England.
