Bought this to use on a problem that I’ve not got round to yet. Been using Klein instrumentation belonging to an ex employer and liked it’s quality and function compared to more expensive Fluke instrumentation. Like this instrument for its multifunction both as an insulation resistance tester and as a multimeter.

As a everyday TRMS multimeter it covers the basics (voltage, continuity, capacitance) with quick, auto‑ranging response, but the real win is the built‑in insulation tester: selectable 125 V, 250 V, 500 V, and 1000 V outputs let you verify motor windings or cable runs without hauling a separate megger. Test‑lead shields and an audible alarm add safety, and the hold/max features simplify logging. Only downside is the 4000‑count resolution, which is fine for field work but less granular than lab‑grade meters. For electricians who need a single, tough tool that handles both standard measurements and insulation resistance, it’s excellent value.
