Easy to follow
Excellent book well laid out and easy to follow. Gives clear and precise explanations and is well written. I was in fact so impressed with this book that I purchased No Bull Guitar Theory for Guitarists by the same author.

It’s a well written book.
This book really does help you unlock the guitar fretboard. Definitely recommend.

Logical
I like the logical way it breaks down and describes each of the 5 chords and their relative scales. The learning tips are useful. Practicing and absorbing everything in the book is quite a project. I include 15 minutes a day to the book as part of my daily practice.

Great author great books
James has a way of describing and teaching through these books that is easy to understand.I have no musical experience and I can now say I know a fair bit on theory which has helped hugely on my guitar playing, especially with improvisation.I'd recommend all of his books but if it's your first music book then get his Music Theory For Guitarists volume 1 to get the basics.A big thank you to James from me.

Easy to Read - Informative
I have a few guitar tuition books (it's a bit of an illness), but this one has stood out because of the journey of chords to scales and the nags to practice (I needed those). The excerises to play the scales in the circle of 4ths etc. were great to memorise the positions on the fretboard.Good book. So good I bought another from the same author.

Great Book to Expand your Knowledge.
It is an easy to understand book filled with the knowledge to greatly expand your soloing choices for chord shapes and scales as they move up the neck of the guitar. I am thoroughly enjoying this book.

This book will do the job (If you do the work!)
After decades as a strummer and bass player, I decided 2024 would be the year I learned to improvise solos, and comping lines on guitar. I started muddling around with pentatonic scales and arpeggios, and decided I needed a systematic approach to practice. This book contains the plan I needed. I'm still working through the first chapter and already my knowledge is expanding in very practical ways. I have read through the whole book and have to fight the urge to jump ahead, because I want to fully integrate every step. This book requires effort and persistance, but it is an excellent approach to learning lead guitar.

I bought this excellent book!
Years back I heard about the Caged System but didn't really know how much this was going to help my guitar playing. This book is very understandable. Now I am playing lead over chords. This is what I was looking for. If you are a beginner or an advanced guitar player, I do recommend this book.

Buen libro

The Best
Absolutely the best book on the planet about the caged system, every guitarplayer should have it in his guitarcase or bagpack. Very excellent explenation.
