Has anybody actually been able to start a fire using this firestarter?

I have a similar paracord bracelet and YES I have made multiple fires with it since i quit smoking lol never have a lighter lol

Will the compass work way south in the southern hemisphere, like patagonia and new zealand?

YES,I took a 10.00 Brunton to South America and it worked like a champ and I plotted a topo map with it so this should be OK. It's not a 30.00 compass but will work any place on the globe

Great for emergency needs

I keep one permanently on my bike frame for emergency needs. Takes up very little weight and space, but highly utilitarian.

VERY LARGE

They are much much larger than I was expecting. Even at its smallest setting, I cannot wear it on my wrist(I am female). However, it fits great on my ankle. For the intended purpose of emergency gear when hiking, it works great.

Not for true winderness survival

Bought this product for emergency use. Just be aware that the compass is at least 90 degrees off. Useless in a real emergency if you need to follow compass values. The other aspects are OK for the price.

Great to have while hiking

Bought this for my dad who enjoys hiking. Recently he’s had some accidents while hiking, like falling off the trail or taking a wrong turn and getting lost.
