Can this be used in a house attic to dampen the vibration from a roof installed Central AC unit?

Hi, we have not tested it for your use so we can't be sure. After discussion with our supplier, we think it's very likely that this insulation pad is NOT designed for your use. He suggests to get a butyl insulation and we think it's better to consult with your Central AC installation company for solution. Maybe you'll need both this pad and the butyl pad. Thanks.

Could I use this to make some Jeep Wrangler headliners?

I suppose you might be able to, however you will have difficulty folding the top down once this was applied. I would look for other options. I am considering making a fabric-based Velcro attached interior liner for my Wrangler. the liner would be filled with some type of foam or "fluff" material for sound deadening while still having easy removal when taking the top off.

do I have to use tape to cover the edges/seams in a heat shield application (firewall & hood)? Can the edges of the black foam exposed to engine heat?

Hi, You don't need to use tape to cover the edges in a heat shield on the engine hood, but thermal insulation tape is recommended for firewalls to cover its edges. It is recommended to use heat shield foam with pure aluminum sheet to install in the firewall for better effect, so please order it with care, as there are many that are not made with pure aluminum sheet. How thick is it ? 1/8 inch or ? Thinking about using it for the abs firewall on my pick up?

It's about 1/4 inch thick if not slightly thicker. Sticks and conforms well. I used it on my firewall of a 2008 F250 diesel. Seems to be holding up well.
