Great trees but check the actual size to make sure you got the right ones!
These are great shoe trees BUT make sure you check the actual size of the trees that you get to be sure that they are the correct size. I ordered 2 pairs of these in a size small and the box said small but the trees in the box were size mediums. After e-mailing with Woodlore directly, they kindly informed me that you can see the size stamped on the bottom of the shoe trees... I definitely recommend checking the bottom of the trees you receive to make sure you get the size you ordered... the mediums wouldn't even fit in to any of my size 8.5 shoes for what it's worth. Also, I returned these for replacement thinking I may have been unlucky but had the same problem with the replacements! I ordered my old ones from Amazon as well as the new ones so maybe they had a mis-sized batch. Either way I’ll probably stick with getting these directly from Woodlore from now on to try and avoid these issues. That being said, the trees themselves are great as long as you size correctly. Make sure you check woodlore's website since the sizing that is on Amazon is wrong... I attached a picture of the size chart for reference... Anyway, these really fill out most shoes well (especially in the vamp) and the heel is nicely rounded to fill up the heel of your shoes unlike most other shoe trees that put a bunch of pressure on a smaller point of the heel. All in all I’d say the cost premium is worth it on these trees.

GREAT...BUT I USE THEM TO STRETCH BOOTS, WHICH THEY ARE XLNT FOR
these are amazing, and would probably be the best shoe trees you could get. HOWever, i use them for an even more demanding purpose.i actually get these 2 sizes up and use to stretch out my cowboy western boots that may be a bit tight lengthwise or need more room in the toe.they have a true natural foot shape that is a great match to the last they use on making shoes and boots, that if your shoe/boot is slightly tight or slightly lacking in length, this can make the difference. note, it will NOT increase your boots a full size, or even a half size...but you may be able to get 1/4 of a size added in length and toe width, which could make all the difference.not that i purposely get shoes small, but when it comes to cowboy boots, i am between an 11 and a 10.5 D...and rather than get the oversize, i get the 10.5 and am able to stretch the leather (yes, the hard front toe portion will expand slightly with some effort). the normal size as a 'boot tree' in these would be a Large, so i go up to XXLarge (two sizes up) and the spring is completely contracted, and i use some effort to stuff these into the shoes, and leave them that way until there is some expansion. i'd say you can get 1/4 of a size increase in length, and up to 1/2 size in toe width, or something like a D to an EE.it helps if you use these with a toe stretcher (the aluminum are expensive but work best), and also break them in with some good walking.that these are truly amazing to help you get that extra expansion/stretch that will turn a very uncomfortable pair of boots/shoes into a winner. this is an extreme use for these, and you may wish to try getting them only 1 oversize, rather than the 2 that i do...but these work so well as stretchers that it is clear that simple use as a shoe tree (correct size use) these would also be the best.

Flops around.. one was 1/4 longer than the other
Flops around (more tricky to get into the shoe than the more solid ones).. One was 1/4 longer than the other.. the only reason I noticed was that one shoe seemed tight (so I checked). Bad luck; I couldn’t get it into the other shoe (on a different pair). Not sure if 1/4” qualifies as defective (knocked off an extra star for the size variation).

Works well
I wonder if this product could be made more 'configurable'. The metal post that connects the heal to the front, could that be a screw and you can unscrew/screw the heal to adjust the 'length' of the shoe tree? I don't know if that concept would work, but I would have liked to be able to just slightly reduce the size of my shoe tree without going a number smaller.

Work Even Better Thank I Expected
These fit my shoes perfectly. I have a few different pairs of these and I rotate them accordingly, putting a pair into the shoes I have most recently worn. In addition to wicking the moisture out of my shoes to keep them fresh and the leather from deteriorating, the help my shoes maintain a nice shape. I also leave them in when I polish my shoes; this makes the brushing stage much more effective. One of the best purchases I have made.

Good thing they're guaranteed
Generally solid construction, but the metal plate in the toe bends if the heel is twisted while the toe is being inserted into the shoe. Would also be nice if left and right were designated somehow so you don't have to eyeball it every time. Takes a lot of force to squeeze it down to it's minimum length.Contrary to the sizing chart, size medium didn't fit in our women's Euro 39 nor our women's US 8.5W boots. Had to return them for size small.

First shoe tree purchase
I bought these shoe trees for my brand new Allen Edmonds. The smell of all cedar trees will be awesome so they will keep shoes fresh. My issue is with sizing. I have a wider foot and so I had to step up to a size larger than my actual shoe size to compensate for the width. Now whenever I see my shoes I feel like I am over stretching them with these monstrosities. Truth be told they are doing a perfect job. Not sure if you should sink your money on the most expensive set unless your shoes are starting to hit the good year welt recraftable price point though.

*Look at the Woodlore website for the most accurate sizing.*
*Look at the Woodlore website for the most accurate sizing.*This shoe tree is great for people with high-arch feet as the shoe tree itself has a higher arch than on other shoe trees I have seen.

Great quality product
I bought these for my Red Wing Iron Rangers and they fit and work perfectly. And they appear to be well-made compared to some other products. Will buy again for sure.
