The umbrella stand is perfect. Especially nice is the removable bucket to empty water and dirt. Recommend for anyone looking for a stylish umbrella stand.

I have always wanted, but never owned, an umbrella stand. I put off getting one because it seemed simple enough to chuck my umbrella in the coat closet or leave it leaning against the wall behind the cabinets. But this practice is messy (there is no place to allow the water to drop off) and clutters the house. So this is why people will fork over from $20-150 for an umbrella stand. Given that full sized umbrellas are large (several feet long) it makes sense to blend umbrellas stands into the homes décor, rather than have an 'eye sore' in the entry way. So with this context out of the way, I do really like this coat stand. It seems to be the same price as most other coat stands and superficially looks the same It is stainless steel and has a removeable 'bucket' inside to catch the water. It looks perfect, and unlike what another reviewer said, it does not have any dents on it. (If it arrived damaged, I would simply return it!). My only concern is that the water-drip bucket does not lift out of the stand freely. You have to pull it out at a particular angle in order to lift it out. I guess the tight fit helps keep water from dripping on the bottom (and rusting), but, I think this could be worked around simply by using a hard plastic coating near the top of the bucket where it lifts out. Given the size, weight and similar price, I can give this item 4 stars. I just hope it does not dent, nor rusts. We have no way of knowing if that will happen.

A little pricy but I knew that when I bought it.

Great idea to have the metal bucket inside the holder. Makes it easy to dump out the water and keep clean. Seems very sturdy as well.
