I have an 1985 okuma lb-10. the servos motors are ac. can i buy servo drives that will work with the existing servos? ditto spindle motor?

The Acorn outputs step and direction for axes of motion. Any drives that accept step and direction should work. For spindle speed control the Acorn outputs 0-10v, if your VFD accepts this it should also be compatible.

I have a 1990 Haas vf1, that needs a closed loop system. Would this work?

I have a mini mill Haas and I believe this would work and you would gain some flexibility but I'm not sure about how much work it would take in software for the retrofit. I always get annoyed with my Haas machine because it's a 2005 and it has limited memory and even by 2005 standards has clunky electronics. I've considered gutting the machine and buying the 10,000 dollar Centroid retrofit with servos. My 1993 Anilam 2-1/2 axis machine has better software than the mini mill. I hope this helps.

Is it available with 240 volt for use in Australia or does it require a 240/110 adapter?

The Acorn power supply is internationally rated, it is compatible with 240/50Hz incoming. If you want to plug it directly into the wall you would just need an outlet adapter.
