Super simple to use, highly effective, clean aesthetic
I was looking at a couple of D'addario capos (which I'm sure are great too) that had adjustable tension. Then I stumbled on this one and thought: hey if it works, with nothing to fiddle with, even better. And visually, this one's a nice, super clean design.I bought the acoustic version, and it works perfectly on all 3 of my acoustics (none of which are 12-string btw). And while I have no intension of using it on an electric, it happens to work just fine on both my electrics as well.Hopefully it will last (something a tension adjustment might help with). But I don't use capos very often, so I suspect it will, at least for me.

Watch out for the hinge pin migrating. Other than that, does the job well
This feels good in your hands, nice weight and finish, and looks good. It does the job. The only design flaw is that the plain steel pin that forms the hinge joint can try to squirt out the end after repeated uses. You might have to push it back into the center every 50-100 times you use the capo, because it gradually walks out of the joint. Not a big deal, but also something that would have been easy to engineer out with a better design. For 20 bucks and a big-brand name on it, I'd expect something that I don't have to check that it's not falling apart periodically. See photo to see what I'm talking about.

Bought on sale so... value!?
Pretty easy to use, compact, feels great in hand. I do not know if it will perform great after a year or two. Not sure if it will press on strings correctly but for now it works fine. I wanted something that was simple to use and tried to stay away from other capos that you look at and first thing comes to mind "hmm, I wonder how it works"
