Sturdy, great quality, washability a big plus.I use them for wood and metal working, not on my fingernails. Firm, but still slightly bendable/ flexible to sand and smooth small or narrow work pieces. That you can rinse out the sawdust after and start with a fresh cutting surface is a great feature. These seem very sturdy- the abrasive does not scrape off as it does with cheap sandpaper. Basically two plastic backed sanding surfaces sandwiched in a thin, firm piece of foamcore.I imagine that they work very well on fingernails as well.

I absolutely love these files. High quality, long, long, long lasting, washable - just fantastic! I don't even need these right now because they last so long I still have a half-package left from my last order, but I ordered them just to make sure I didn't have to go without. Really, they're that good.

These are my preferred nail files - 120/240 grit - so a coarse and fine side. They last forever. I put one in each of my cars - my purses and bedside - You get 6. And I find that people "borrow" them and then keep them - so I like to keep a stock. I have natural nails that I sometimes get gel manicures on - and once in a while powder dip. They work on all types in my opinion.

These look to be of good quality, I haven't actually put them to the "test" yet, but they appear to be very sturdy.

I purchased this same set in 2015 (different seller). These new sets are not of the same quality at all.The old files from which I still have a couple are more durable, have better grit and seemed to last forever.The new ones show already wear just by using them the first time. I have average nails and am not really hard on my files.But I guess it is what it is. Everything that's good gets 'de-proved' to keep customers coming back.Considering the current quality buy at your own risk.
