T-Display-S3 ESP32-S3 1.9 inch ST7789 LCD Display TTGO Development Board

Looks so nice. Great way to keep it protected. It’s been months and it is still running like a champ.

This module is a perfect building block for projects where display, analog and digital interfaces, USB CDC and wireless connectivity is needed at a low price. The module comes with a lot of examples and application libraries available on Internet, and it is easy to build professionally looking devices with this module. One warning - do not press on the screen when pushing the module into a socket - it will break/crack the screen!

I like the screen but it’s overpriced on AMZ. It works as a speed display in my car and now I understand why car display are so expensive. This display floods up with black pixels when it’s very hot inside the car. After a cooldown it’s back to normal. Programming is very easy and no issues with drivers and libraries.

Nothing wrong with the product per-se. Its a great little package of processor and screen. Has plenty of GPIOs available and USB-C, also a battery port which I didn't use. The screen is bright and clear. That said I had big troubles getting it working in the arduino IDE. Firstly I had to drop the ESP core software back to v2.x to get the ESP32-S3 working with the FASTLED library and secondly I had to use a sperate branch of the TFT-eSPI library to get it working with ESP32-S3. Hopefully thats helpful to anyone having issues. I also expect these library issues will clear up eventually. I cant comment to other IDE - I just use Arduino.

I purchased this as an option to connecting to Home Assistant via espHome it works great, I ended up with a different display for this project simply because of the look. This one looked fine, just not as clean as what I went with, now I need to find a new project for this. easy to use and works great, and to my surprise there is a magnet in the back cover so if I wanted to I can easily mount it on any metal surface

Lilygo never disappoints. They have the most interesting boards. I have a few of these, the most recent I purchased here in Amazon. Fast delivery and superior product as always.

item arrived with non working firmware, reflashed and it died in days. Customer service is nonexistent

Been using it as a lottery miner and have been running for months, I love the display quality, build quality and also how quick it can reboot.

Ich nutze das LILYGO T-Display-S3 als NerdMiner für ein wenig BitCoin-Mining direkt auf meinem Schreibtisch. Klar, die Erfolgsaussichten, tatsächlich einen Block fertigzustellen und damit Bitcoins zu erhalten, sind verschwindend gering – ich würde sogar behaupten, dass man fünf Mal hintereinander im Lotto gewinnen könnte, bevor das passiert. Aber genau das macht es für mich aus: Es ist ein nettes Gimmick, das mir den Spaß absolut wert ist! Das Gerät selbst ist gut verarbeitet und funktioniert wie erwartet. Die Einrichtung als NerdMiner verlief problemlos, und es läuft stabil. Natürlich sollte man sich bewusst sein, dass das in meinem Anwendungsfall eher als technisches Spielzeug zu betrachten ist und keine ernsthafte Mining-Maschine ersetzt. Wer sein Geld sinnvoll investieren möchte, findet sicherlich bessere Optionen. Aber wenn man einfach Lust auf ein kleines Nerd-Projekt hat, ist das hier genau das Richtige. Ein Punkt, den man beachten sollte: Die Boards werden direkt aus China versendet und können – zumindest in meinem Fall – nicht an eine Packstation geliefert werden. Der Verkäufer hat mich aber direkt kontaktiert, und wir konnten das schnell und unkompliziert lösen. Insgesamt bin ich zufrieden mit dem Kauf. Es ist eine nette Spielerei, und wer weiß – vielleicht habe ich ja doch noch Glück und knacke irgendwann einen Block! ;-)
