A sturdy, well-designed ironing board that combines stability, ease of use and smart design touches
The Minky Ergo Ironing Board is a well-built, thoughtfully designed piece of household kit that performs exactly as you’d hope. It’s sturdy, stable and easy to set up, making it a pleasure to use, even for longer ironing sessions. The build quality feels reassuringly solid. The board remains steady under pressure, with no wobble or flex while ironing. The surface area is generous, which makes a noticeable difference when working on shirts, dresses and larger garments. It’s also well suited for pressing bedding or tablecloths thanks to the wide surface. One of the standout features is the cover. It stays firmly in place during use - something that can’t always be said for other boards I've used. It fits snugly and doesn’t bunch or slip, allowing for smooth, consistent ironing across the full surface. The integrated iron rest is sturdy and conveniently positioned, making it easy to place and pick up the iron without breaking rhythm. Folding and unfolding the board is straightforward, and the locking mechanism feels secure. It’s also easy to move around thanks to its manageable weight and ergonomic design. The only point to bear in mind is its size: the generous surface area means it requires a bit more storage space than smaller models, so it’s worth checking where it will live when not in use. Aesthetically, it looks good too. The blue cover gives it a clean, modern appearance that feels more premium than most standard ironing boards. Overall, this is a durable, practical and well-designed ironing board that’s built for everyday use. It makes a routine task simpler, quicker and more comfortable.

Great ironing board
At first felt a bit light and flimsy compared to my old one. But it has proved to be really good to use and not flimsy at all. Really appreciate the fact it is lighter. Had it a while and not complaints at all. But with confidence.

Looks great, great size, easy to erect/fold away but has flaws! Shame as it is close to perfect.
Although I purchased this in January 2021 I did not dispose of my old one until February. I am a single male with not a lot of ironing so my comments although a bit delayed were relevant at the time of first use and still apply after nearly 4 months. The packaging for this was a bit poor as it arrived with the rubber feet protruding through the poly film and it had obviously been stood on the feet quite frequently during shipping which had ‘scuffed’ them quite badly, I did not consider this enough reason to request a replacement but the makers/distributers should think about improving this area of the packaging. It is a good looking board and as such I had wanted one for some years so I treated myself. The board is good and wide and both the length and iron cradle are excellent. The adjustment is very simple and easy to use whilst being positive and firm. Overall I like the whole design but there is one thing that other buyers might like to know, and one issue that I think is a real weakness in the design. A). When used for the first few times the powder coating gets stripped off the adjustment bar (see photos). On the first couple of uses I found a combination of metal/paint ‘shavings’ on the floor beneath the board and could not figure out what it was. It was not until the third time of use that I investigated and I realised that they had come from the adjustment rod. These ‘shavings’ could be a hazard for a child that might pick them up and try to eat them. In fact there is no reason to paint this rod, it would be better if it was masked out during the coating process. B) The second issue I have which others might live with, is that the quite thin metal the board surface is made from ’cockles’ upwards under prolonged heat in one place. I found this when ironing several hankies in the same area, then it ‘clonks’ back to its normal flat position after a few seconds of cooling. It’s a bit like a large scale version of those old tin toy ‘clickers’ that were popular some years ago. I find it a bit annoying and question if a thicker metal would be more in keeping with the quality of this board? It’s fine with sheets and larger items as you are spreading the heat as you iron. Thicker metal would put the weight up but it is quite light for its size/quaity. Would I buy one again? yes, as the overall design takes some beating but it is not perfect and would be close to it if the issues I have highlighted were sorted out. ADDITIONAL COMMENTS ON THE METAL TOP SINCE ABOVE. (11/8/21) In fact after using the board for a few months I find the 'cockling' of the top even more annoying, also what I had not fully realised is that it is in fact a 'gauze' so as well as distorting under heat it also allows steam which tuns into water under the garment you are ironing to leak through so after a lot of ironing I found a damp patch on my carpet. I assume if it was solid metal and not gauze this would cause trapped water to rust so no easy solution but it is a little annoying as I now have to put a towel on the floor under the board area!

Minky Ergo Mint Prozone Ironing Board
I’ve been really impressed with the Minky Ergo Mint Prozone Ironing Board. The 122 x 38 cm size is ideal — large enough to comfortably handle bigger items like bedsheets, yet still easy to store away. One of the standout features is how sturdy it feels. The frame is solid and doesn’t wobble, which makes ironing much safer and less frustrating. The height adjustment is smooth and offers a good range, so it’s easy to find a comfortable position whether sitting or standing. The Prozone cover genuinely makes a difference. Heat seems to reflect well, helping to smooth out creases faster and more efficiently. It saves time, especially when working through a pile of laundry. The mint design is also a nice touch — modern and fresh compared to standard boards. Another thing I appreciate is the ergonomic design. The shape makes it easier to iron shirts and awkward areas without constantly repositioning the fabric. If I had to mention a small downside, it’s slightly heavier than basic ironing boards, but that’s clearly due to the sturdy build — a trade-off I’m happy with. Overall, this is a high-quality, well-designed ironing board that makes a routine task quicker and easier. Definitely worth the investment.
