This has three parts - the mount, and two screws. All the 1 star reviews from people who could not figure out how this works amazes me (or does it?). The mount itself is a simple piece of aluminum that is finished black (anodized?). The bends and cuts are well done with no sharp edges. there are two screws that hold it in place, very firmly. Here is the part that has confused simple minds. To mount it there is a small piece of double-sided tape to hold it in place while you screw it in so you don't need three hands to install it. The tape is just to hold it in place long enough to get the screws in, it's not there to hold it up permanently. The simple design is looks nice and works well and will hold your heavy (and expensive) headset and controllers safely. The quality of construction justifies the price.

Mounted this under my desk (laminate top) without issue, would highly recommend drilling pilot holes once the thing is stuck in place as it makes getting the screws in much easier. The Vive Pro is a little bit of a tight squeeze to get onto the hook, but once in place it fits perfectly and my Index controllers hang nicely on either side. The matte finish is very nice, only wish it came in black to match my desk frame.

I saw some negative reviews, complaining that the adhesive backing is not sticky enough to support the weight of a VR headset and two controllers all by itself.Well, yeah! Of course! The product page says so right there! The adhesive backing is *only* there to hold the hook in place long enough for you to secure it to the desk or shelf with the included screws.As someone who read the product description before they bought it, this item is exactly as described and provided a clean and convenient place for me to store my Valve Index and Knuckles controllers. It's exactly as described and for that, I give it full credit.

I bought this needing a way to store my headset and controllers. It does exactly that and is very well built. Unfortunately, the bent parts that holds them are just flat metal. This would over time causes worn down spots on the plastic of the controllers as well as make compressed spots in the back head padding. I made and added my own padding which makes this so much better. So I would recommend this item but wanted to add that it needs the extra padding to prevent wear on your equipment.

We put this inside a cabinet to hold the VR set. Easy to install and I like the added sticky tape to hold it in place while I put the screws in. Holds everything nicely.
