How do you remove the plastic lumbar support?

The entire assembly detaches without damaging the chair. Set the chair face down and slide the lumbar support to the top of the slot. Twist the support to create room and slip a flatbed screwdriver or other pry-device under the assembly (a plastic plate that runs down the back vertical frame of the chair). Mine popped out with gentle pressure. Note that if you do this, there is no lumbar support at all, though you could put a pad or something between the crossbar and the mesh.

How low can the chair go down and how low can the armrest go down?

When the seat is as low as it goes, the uncompressed foam at the front is roughly 17 inches off the floor. With the arm rest lowered completely, it is 23 inches off the floor to the front part of the arm rest. At this same position, the arm rest is 5 inches above the cushion on the seat. The rear of the arm rest is slightly lower than the front.

Has anyone had problems with circulation around mid quad cutoff due to thick firm cushion?

As a man with an abundance of mass in the rear, the cushions have no been an issue. This chair will serve thick men alike
