Omnigrip 16-1/2" x 16-1/2" Non-Slip Square Quilting Ruler by Omnigrid

I love Omnigrid, and I use them almost exclusively. My ruler came broken from the Amazon resale. The listing said the wrapper was torn, and there was “a small hole.” It didn’t say half the side was missing! I don’t blame the company for the broken product. Amazon… do better. You mailed this to me in this condition.

This ruler is the perfect size for my project. Made well and sturdy with good/clear markings. Easily readable and good value for money.

Omnigrip has a great selection of rulers. I have various sizes to help in quilting and cutting different fabrics and paper. This time I bought the 16 1/2 inch square to add to my collection. This is a huge square! It's just the right size I needed to cut a dozens of squares of fabric for decorator pillows. This makes more precise so each pillow is identical; however the center is not clearly marked making it an extra step to check and recheck for the center mark at 8.25 inches by 8.25 inches. I had to add clear tape and mark it to assist in making the cuts.

Helpful for cutting out blocks for appliqué and also for squaring blocks up and trimming to size. My only disappointment was that although the numbers are repeated twice for both north-south and east-west directions they were both times repeated in the same direction. Having the measurements repeated but in opposite directions would have been even more helpful.
