FoodSaver VS3170 Multi-Use Food Preservation System with Built-in Handheld Sealer

I had a Food Saver, but it suddenly quit working. I immediately found a replacement. I use it frequently.

I LOVE it!! Works great but the bags could be more cost effective.

I found it very easy to use for just sealing bags of food. I haven’t tried taking the air out of bag yet. That will be biggest test.

This vacuum sealer is very efficient. Easy to operate.

This product was supposed to be new however when opening the box a pair of clip on eyeglasses fell out with a return ticket from Sams club. That’s when I new it had beer used and not in new condition. Also, the vacuum sealer roll and bags were missing. The item had been used before and missing items. Buyer beware.

I had my phone on and bought a second one for my daughter because it was so easy to use. I like the handheld feature that I can seals fruit jars easily.

Works well. Saving money freezing food.

The foodsaver machine vacuum's well when using the portable wand attachment to seal their reusable ziploc bags. It also works well sealing large and small width mason jar lids (sold separately, just like the ziploc bags). Get the gallon bags, they are 6" longer than a regular gallon bag and hold entire bushels of celery, etc. But, the machine is so loud I don't use it after 10pm so I don't wake others up.I did have a failure with the foodsaver 80oz plastic ridgid vacuum container after only 5 days. Foodsaver has very poor selection of ridgid containers and they are not very big. So I purchased instead the Fosa brand of vacuum containers along with their own vacuum wand (so it's a whole different vacuum system I'm using just for large ridgid containers which are great for delicate things like lettuce) and I love it!! Fosa sells VERY large containers if you want them (130+ oz's) which holds a lot of veggies, lettuce, celery, etc and keeps it all crisp and fresh like the day you bought them, without squashing them like a vacuum bag does. Things stay fresh for 2 weeks, sliced onions don't age or start growing, like they do otherwise in a regular container or bag. I'd go the Fosa route if you want ridgid containers to keep things like lettuce, cilantro, celery, etc fresh without squashing them. If you hate veggies going bad, you'll solve the problem with a vacuum sealer :)
